Kerr was a high risk high reward offensive player who was a career negative on defense and was a no show pretty much any time he played in the tournament. I went into this year hoping he'd change my mind and he didn't. Quite a big sample size I'm going off of actually
Ok fair enough. I think just like we saw with Carr’s history of being too finesse and Butler’s history of being an inefficient finisher, we have learned that Pope can hide the weaknesses and inadequacies of certain players in the system and we never got to get there with Kerr. Anyhow, I’d be excited at another chance to have him on the roster. I trust Pope to make that decision.
This is semi pro basketball not college athletics to the one poster. They are paid employees.
I hope he comes back and I hope he does well.

My point being if they shouldn't have to play against 25 year old players in college, they shouldn't be allowed to play in the NBA until they get a little "older" ONLY basing that on YOUR reasoning. I mean are 25 year olds in college the same age as 25 year old players in the NBA ? If the 18 year olds don't mind playing against 25 year old players in the NBA, they shouldn't mind in college, which they don't mind, only idiots like you do. I used Lebron because he is the oldest player in the NBA and teenagers CHOOSE to play against him and I am sure they wouldn't mind playing against Kerr Kriisa at age 25 in college. Don’t want to derail this thread but , about Carr . Has the dude ever lifted a weight in his life? He has to be the most physically weak senior I’ve seen. Ten to fifteen pounds of muscle would make TONS of difference for him . Someone should have put him on Gillispee’s “pop tart “ diet years ago.
Life isn't fair, though. I guess if every person and every team were exactly equal, every game would end up in a tie. As it is, the rules allow this so it's fair.
There never really has been an age limit for college. If a 45 year old who never went to college or played college sports before goes to school and makes the basketball team, then they can play. So your comment/argument doesn't make any sense.

NBA players are PROFESSIONAL athletes. If someone chooses to go pro one year removed from high school, then yes, they are now in the real world of PROFESSIONAL sports. So you will be playing against other athletes that could be in their 30s or even 40 like LBJ. That is what you sign up for.
In college, nobody should be signing up to play against 25-26 year olds. That is absolutely ridiculous.

Luckily, Kerr doesn't care if people here want him back, Garrisson doesn't care who's "ready to move on" from him, Butler doesn't care if someone here think he's "useless', etc. Means nothing to them and means nothing in the grand scheme.
No difference? Are you serious with that? Below are just a few differences (of many) between college and professional athletes:
College
-You have to go to classes full time
-You are not paid by the university
-You are only allowed to practice for a certain period of time
-You play half the amount of games, if that, of the NBA
-You are not part of any player's union
Professional
-Paid directly by an employer
-Part of the player's union
-Play exponentially more games
-Exponentially more travel
-Have direct contributions to a retirement plan
-Players are older and more physically matured

I agree with you, I was simply making a silly post to combat the dudes silly post. If they have eligibility left, I see no problem with age. I was making the silly post about 18 year olds playing 25 year old guys in the NBA because of his post.
I worked two jobs to save for college, since I had no outside assistance from family. I attended the first two years at a JC in order to work and save. For two years, I didn't go to school at all; I just worked and saved. I didn't transfer to a D-1 university until I was about 25 years old. At that point, I had saved enough to pay everything from my pocket, with no loans. I only had to take out loans in my last year, and even then, I worked two jobs (including one job for my university) in order to minimize my final debt.
Upon graduation, I worked three jobs and paid off my student loans 8 years early.
You really have no clue what someone's life story is until you're in close proximity to them. I wouldn't call my journey "pathetic" at all. I'd call it smart an deeply fulfilling. The best part about it all was that when I finally had enough money to attend college on my terms, I thoroughly enjoyed the learning process.

If you can see there are worthwhile reasons for someone to play CBB at an age later then their peers, then good. That’s the whole point. Some of these players, like those from the Dominican Republic or Slovenia or Lithuania or so on may have very different lives and there may be good reasons to play. I’m glad you see that a one size fits all dismissal of others for simply extending their CBB playing days is neither pathetic or means they need to “get a life.” Good on you for it.

What is not is saving up money by working multiple jobs to go to school for academic reasons like Son of Saul did. Now that is something to be proud of.
Since most bigger universities have a payroll of 3-8 million,, pretty safe to say they are professional players now..
You only know Saul’s situation because he told you. We don’t have to agree on this. I just hope that you can think about things like that when you say things. It’s a free country of course and you can say what you want. I do think people forget that those players are people too, even the ones I don’t like. You don’t know the context about the players and if you saw Saul playing at 25 you’d be calling him pathetic too….until you find that he has a good reason. That’s the point. I’m not the kind of guy to bash on you or anyone else but you should treat people with respect and then respect will be due to you as well.

If he wants to come back and Pope wants him to come back then I absolutely want him to come back. If he scares off a recruit or transfer, then they are little girlie men. I’ll take the guy who got back on defense right after breaking his leg.
As a 67 year old talking about a 25 year old being too old to play feels.....I don't know if it's odd or old.
