Going to work into my UL smack that UK is using them to test Cal's replacements. You know, since UK orchestrated the first vacating of their title, hookers, Pitino's scandals and all that.

Think we are going to really like this guy:

Energy was not a problem for Kentucky-bound wing
Keldon Johnson
. I thought his effort was as strong as anybody I saw on Monday and he did a great job of making things happen without being selfish. He's a pretty polished scorer with a nice and balanced three level -- rim, mid range and deep -- game. (Bossi)

Yet he was among the standouts at the practices, primarily because of that energy level, which often manifests itself audibly. The talking is key to the success.

“It’s definitely a big part, because if you bring energy, it’s contagious,” Johnson told the Herald-Leader. “It gets your teammates to bring energy. That’s the main thing I try to do. Be vocal. Be loud. Because nobody’s loud, nobody wants to be vocal. … But that’s just me. I’m a loud, vocal person.

“So when they see me out there yelling, that’s just me. That’s not me stepping out of my comfort zone or none of that. … That’s just me.”

“I always had the work ethic. But I think it really amped up,” he said. “You’re out there to really focus on basketball, so I definitely took the time to get my body right and get my mind right, things like that. I really emphasized that.”

My bad. Didn’t realize there was a no busting balls policy in effect tonight.

I got the post, it was a joke bud. Lighten up.

BS. You tried to be cute and shit on someone and called out for being a clueless dumb ass. It is ok, just own it, happens to the best of us.

exits back to lurking.

I can't wait for Keldon Johnson to come in and pound the air out of the ball.

He does seem like an ornery dog though. Like Washington and Green. My favorite type of of give no effs kind of player.

I wish it was 10 degrees out and we all had the flu!! :weary:

This weather sucks, march weather usually blows, hopefully I can drive around with my window down in a couple of weeks, that's always the best, the first sunny day with the windows down.

Matt Jones ruining his current gig and running as a democrat in office in Kentucky when the last democrat that won was in 1992 is like watching a slow train wreck. Just the worst idea I can possibly imagine, have no idea what he's thinking.

Feel like the Capel leaving Duke news has been just brushed aside, is this not as big of a deal as I thought? Is he not Dukes ace recruiter? This is good news, like can really re-boost our recruiting, no? What am I missing?

Don’t know how any sports ball can say that. Fall is easily #1.

Indeed.

Power Ranking of the top 12 months:

1. October (CFB, CBB tips off, MLB playoffs, weather)
2. November (CFB, CBB, weather, holidays)
3. December (CFB, CBB, holidays)
4. March (best sporting event of the year, but usually ends in heartbreak)
5. September (CFB kicks off, pennant races)
6. January (CBB, NFL playoffs, but the weather sucks)
7. February (CBB getting down to nut cutting time, but the weather sucks)
8. August (CFB previews)
9. May (NBA playoffs, Derby)
10. June (NBA playoffs)
11. July (awful, too hot)
12. April (everything is over, too rainy, don't care about the Masters, CFB still 5 months away)

This weather blows. While snow in the hot tub is great, rain not so much.

Knocked out my ACLS recert yesterday. CLEAR

Not really any movies I care to see in the theaters.

So should we call Chris Mack WAR MACHINE???

Capel gone is huge for us, now bring back Orlando.

October
September
June
July
August
May
April
November
December
March
February
January

February is full of college basketball, conference races, temperate weather, and no yardwork. It's also Black History Month, you virulent racists.

July is 150 degrees with a 500% humidity and it involves yardwork and no exciting sports. Hard pass.

Capel leaving Duke shortly after the national attention brought on to shady recruiting practices is fairly coincidental.

Going to see the Cats in Tuscaloosa this weekend for a 3 game set. Excited to see them in person.

Spinning some old Jeff Buckley this morning. Good music if you want to revert back to the late 90's in a studio apartment with nothing but drugs and black coffee.

Halfway through with "Big Data Baseball" which is basically a roided up version of Moneyball, with focus on how Pittsburgh was so late to get on board with data analysis- and then the deep analytical work they did to catch up. I can see why purists hate the data driven stuff, but it speaks for itself, and its phenomenal how in just 15 years or so its completely flipped the game management trends.

Best non-gyero thread on the catspaw is the "What's going on in Bardstown" thread

Everyone calm down.

“Me personally, it would have to be in the first round. So anywhere in the first round, mid-to-late. If it’s not in the first round, if they’re talking about second round, I don’t see it,” Paul Washington said. “He might say, ‘Dad, I want to go,’ I don’t know, but if he’s asking me, I’d say [go] if it’s first round. And that all goes into what he does at the combine, what he does in workouts and stuff like that. So a lot of that is up to him.”

January at 6, February at 7...both ahead of August, May, June, July, and April.

:joy:

FYI--Most normal, well-adjusted humans prefer spending time outside in warm weather over no sunlight, frigid temps, and the general self-loathing that comes with the SEC regular season schedule.

"spending time outside" = mowing, blowing, weedeating, mulching, edging, trimming.

"warm" = 100 degrees with 100% humidity

"frigid" = 50 degrees and cloudy

Really nailed that one, Midway Cat.

"Hey woodford wanna go check out the fireworks, maybe play some golf tomorrow and have a cold beer on a patio in the evening sun, swing by the pool, go fishing, have a tan and not look sickly pale, go for a run in your neighborhood, actually enjoy having to walk your dog in the morning, grill out, have a picnic, look at girls in scantily clothes, go to a park with your kids, actually drive and see sunlight to and from work, or really generally anything other then sit in your house avoiding icy temps??"

"Nah gotta mulch"
