I would've paid a ton of money for MKG to be on this year's team. I mean, who hates on this guy?

I definitely want Kansas to win it over Nova. It's not even close. If Nova wins, that would be 3 schools to win 2 titles while Cal has been here. Kansas is harmless.

No. Kansas is the 2nd winningest program ever. They've won more games than anyone in college basketball since Cal was hired in 2009, including Kentucky. They're not on UK/UNC/Duke's level, but they're right behind it. Also, their fans are awful. F Kansas. F Kansas hard and good.

Re: MKG -- if that kid doesn't recover back door and throw Tyshawn Taylor away, we could seriously be looking at John MF Calipari hanging a big ol' goose egg here in Lexington.

Scary.

Again, I haven't seen that by anyone - neither have you. Link?

He's talking about them claiming 6 *if* they win, idiot. Go grab some coffee.

Rushed, sloppy posting on my part earlier. Very uncharacteristic.

Is 3 links enough for you, stubbs?

Also, Loyola-Chicago has as many NCAA titles as Michigan. Surely they're blueblood too!

My absolute #1 Tubby nightmare is Saul Smith sitting at the top of the key just pounding the heck out of the basketball.

Fast forward 20 years, and we basically have the same thing, except with a much more talented Saul Smith dribbling the basketball.

John Calipari's Dribble Dribble Dribble Dribble Dribble Dribble Dribble Drive Motion Offense.

I actually rooted hard for Kansas in 2008. I had wanted Cal bad in 2007 and figured that if he won a title at Memphis, that would foreclose any hope of him ever leaving and coming here.

That thought probably was not accurate, but I'm still glad he didn't win that one. It kept him hongry.

Cal has always had great guards at Kentucky, but what really separated him in his first 5 seasons at Kentucky was his elite big 4/5 talent. Cousins, Jones, Davis, Randle, Cauley-Stein, Anthony-Towns. That list is insane, and littered with NBA All Stars.

We've dropped off from that signficantly since 2015, and the results show. Great guards...Ulis, Murray, Monk, Fox, etc., but not much down low. For whatever reason, he's struggling getting elite 4/5 guys...and until that changes, I don't see us getting back to the rarified air of 2010-15. Recruiting comes and goes, but that is certainly a glaring weakness, and I'm not sure why it's changed.

Speaking of Cincy -- What's the story on Darius Bazley? Getting a lot of buzz from #McDAAG

Don't recall a single mention of him over the years, here or from any of my friends, which is kinda weird for a 5* burger boy from our 'local' area, considering how many self-proclaimed college basketballs we have in here from that area. How was Syracuse able to come down and steal him?

Not my fault you can't read and don't pay attention to me, Deep Dish.

* The DJ from my wedding/gym teacher at my kids' school's ex wife's grandson (get that?) is receiving some interest from Calipari & crew. He currently has offers from Florida and Ohio State. Darius Bazley. 6'7 4* SF from Finneytown, OH. Class of 2018.

* A friend of mine's (DJ from my wedding/kid's gym teacher) step grandson is really blowing up on the summer basketball circuit.

Darius Bazley will be a senior at Princeton HS (Cincinnati). He is 6'9 180, and is listed as a PF. But he is really a SF with serious guard skills. I saw his highlights from last week and he is tremendous. Currently ranked 73 on Rivals, but that should be going up after the offseason he has had. He decommitted from Ohio State a few weeks before Matta got canned.

He has grown a lot in the last few years, not as much as Anthony Davis, but similar. And is still growing.

Kentucky has been calling, and he likes them a lot. But Syracuse has been the team recruiting him the hardest so far. I'd love to add him as a 3-4 yr player along with 1 or 2 of the stud forwards we are after.

I don't have a problem with Kansas, never have. Total wins don't mean shit to mean. Titles are all that matters. One more just gives them 4. And they're fans are fine. I've actually met them in person, not just on the internet. But if Nova wins then it will be a non stop suck fest about how they do things the right way, and they do. I just don't want to hear about it. Rock Chalk this Saturday!

Am I the only one who feels like the primary offense for 75 percent of teams in the tournament has been dribble-dribble-pass-dribble-dribble, then run off a high screen with five seconds left on the shot clock? Sure seems that way on every game I listened to on Westwood One Radio.

I hate it too, but I don't think it's just us.

You pretty close with this wedding DJ/Gym teacher, Willy?

Yes. Took him to a UK game in each of the past 2 years.

Even though my kids no longer go to The Children's House, I still talk to him on a weekly basis. Good dude.

We used to talk sports for 10 minutes every morning after I dropped the kids off there.

Like him more than I like any of you, except for Gatton Grad, who I just met in Atlanta. Good dude. Appreciate the shot!

Wrong, Llama. Our coach is fat and terrible and doesn't care about winning. Don't you read GYERO?

Kansas fans in person are better than some others but not by that much. Still good to see them lose a big game.

- I don't think some of you understand just how arrogant and awful Unc fans are in person. If you did you would root for Duke to beat them. Am I right :100points:cat?

Why would Nova scare you? Unless their next coach is Zombie John Wooden, I think we've got a nice healthy lead that should last at least half a century or so.
