I am so sick of hearing Cal say "I should have called a TO" after a big loss. Maybe he he is trying to take the blame off the kids but dammit that is why you get 8 million a year.

Played like absolute garbage and we still felt like we should have won. That's what freaking sucks.

Btw, we all look forward to when we have 1 or 2 players out of 4 who declare for the draft drafted. I'll hold a good old fashioned hootenanny at my place to celebrate. #playersfirst #bestnightinukhistory

So glad I sat on last season of The Americans , Vice Principals, Mr Robot, and any other show I can get my hands on...

Hope Montgomery didn't make it to the game.

Have zero expectations for next year. 1 or 2 guys are gonna leave that have no business leaving and I'm already redassed over it.

Bruce effing Weber... Are you shitting me?

Worst loss of Cal era and it's not close. Edit. 2nd behind WVU 2010.

"star freshman shooter"

Who TF was that exactly? Knox? [laughing]

Shooting was always a huge weakness for this team. They started hitting shots in the SEC Tournament, but that didn't carry over. None of us should've been surprised by it, but we ended up with the easiest path to the Final Four in the history of the program, so we thought it would work out.

Maybe Cal will adjust his recruiting in future years, maybe he won't. But this team was flawed. We just chose to ignore it after everything seemingly fell our way.

What makes me more furious than absolutely anything is Cal treating the beginning of games like they don’t matter at all. It got us beat tonight, as we all knew it eventually would.

Absolutely pathetic coaching job this year. Maybe spend more time in the film room and less time stuffing your gullet with pancakes.

-I feel pretty sorry for myself after staying up and watching that shit. But I really feel for the poor souls who made the trip to Atlanta. I mean, my Lord. I can't even imagine.

-The annual social media and podcast cleanse has arrived. Need a good, long break from KSR and the like.

-I defend Cal as much as anyone. Still think he's a great coach and love having him. But tonight drove in a cold dose of reality. Something has to change. If guys like Wenyen and Vanderbilt bolt after a season like this, our system is broken.

-truth: our expectations don't mean shit. For Cal...it really is about ending generational poverty. Not the history/fan base. He was telling the truth when he called draftnight the biggest day. I'm not being flip, that's just the way it is. That is why I'm apathetic with a hint of melancholy instead of red-assed.

-in also not saying faarrr Cal. It just is what it is.

Don't dick finger Bamba away to Texas and we wouldn't be in this mess. The "Kentucky Player Shame," i.e. players feeling totes awks even considering playing here multiple years, leaves us with so slim margin for error recruiting. All of our guys must at least live up to and exceed their recruiting ranking or else we risk seasons like this.

Per usual, another crop of good freshman but not great college players will leave for the NBA and we'll have to hit on each of our recruit rolls to be a contender. Each season is like playing a game of roulette. We have one player who is first round caliber, but 2-3 others will declare anyway because if they don't they fail.

It'd be tolerable if all these kids actually came back but we know that's not happening.

That's the absolute biggest thing. Why exactly are fans supposed to care to watch year-in and year-out slapdick play without the allure of continuity.

If we knew these guys were coming back, this year would be awesome. But as it is, f*** you Cal if this is what we're getting and there is no reason for actual UK fans to invest in improvement.

Cal's arrogance and stubbornness are his biggest f*cking blind-spots. His self-promoting schtick is tolerable when he's dominating the recruiting trail and we're working teams on the court.

......BUT, when we're finishing 4th in the SEC, getting swept by Florida and Tennessee, getting our shit pushed in by mediocre UCLA teams every year, Reddish/Barrett/Williamson all heading to Duke, and choking away the easiest path to the F4 in NCAA-T history, it's obvious to everybody but Cal that the old way of doing shit isn't f*cking working anymore.

At this point, Cal's options are pretty simple: (i) be better; or (ii) GTFO.

Cal said he wished he’d called a TO.

Well that makes things better. Do we get a do-over?

This season was a slog. Sloppy, selfish, uninspired play, with flashes of brilliance. But years like this aren't what made Kentucky basketball Kentucky basketball. You're happy with this shit, you need to adjust your standards.

It'd be different if everybody was coming back, or if we had the #1 class coming in. But they're not, and we don't, and there's a very good chance we'll be right back here a year from now.

We just lost what was essentially a home game. To a 9 seed. Coached by Bruce Weber. With an 11 seed waiting on us to go to the Final Four.

Pathetic.

Sigh... Any other Cal year with this draw and it's Title Game minimum... And we get these guys...

This was worst team of Cal era, and I don't think it's even close.
