How can you only miss 3 games with a stress fracture in your foot, especially as a 6'10 guy? Smell test says Wade either doesn't play or isn't even remotely effective if he does give it a go.

Look at all the Gyero doctors in here, so many foot experts.

Do you know what a stress fracture is?

I get stress fractures somewhat frequently in my foot. Depending on severity and location, it's something you can manage. I ran the London Marathon on a stress fracture. I'm a tough old bastard though.

There’s a little more to it than that.

Grade 1-4?

High risk/low risk?

Maybe just pour some Tussin on it.

Highlights of my trip to the General Assembly today:

1. Seeing my kid be a page/get recognized on the floor of the Senate

2. Getting to hang out on the floor of the Senate while actual law stuff was happening.

3. Witnessing some old country senator tell the winner of a school culinary contest that she’ll “make a fine homemaker one day.”

4. Witnessing another senator start off a speech in support of a Holocaust education bill (which was passed unanimously! In Kentucky!) by saying, “We tend to think we’ve progressed a lot as people in the 2000 years since Jesus Christ walked the earth.”

Flying to Vegas tomorrow, will land 30 minutes before Kentucky tip, could not possibly be timing this any better. :cool2: Will be sauced by landing ---> straight to dispensery ----> straight to more drinking and watching us roll k state. This tournament opening up for us couldn't have been timed any better. Let's do this!!

The best time would actually be one in which you actually have time to collect your belongings, de-plane, hop in a cab, fight thru traffic, check into your hotel, drop off your items, and arrive at your viewing spot comfortably in time to settle in and watch the very beginning of the game.

What you described, then, would be no more than the second best timing. Enjoy being late and missing the first 15 minutes of the game, though.

I mean, with his smart phone he can probably stream the game while on his way...technology is amazing.

New position at work this week. Fahrvergnügen, ATKOT.

That Bagley article in the Oregonian is pretty damning. Parents were in bankruptcy less than a decade ago, dad starts an AAU team with Nike, next thing you know he's living in a gated community in a million dollar house and rolling in the cash. But, hey! He's an amateur as long as he goes to Duke, right?

That Exantus dude who murdered that little boy in Versailles early one morning 2 Christmases ago getting found not guilty by reason of insanity is b.s. Up for parole in no more than 5 years. I don't give a shit if he is nuts. They need nuthouses for this shit where you don't get out. Ever.

Taveion Hollingsworth goes for 30 tonight, and the Dunbar grad gets WKU to MSG after winning in Stillwater. Nice going, frosh.

Definitely hard to reconcile the verdicts. (1) Not guilty by reason of insanity for the murder; (2) Guilty but mentally ill for assaulting the father just a few minutes later. Seems like a compromise, which is really odd under the circumstances. They must've had some serious evidence that he was crazy.

I don't give a shit if he is nuts. They need nuthouses for this shit where you don't get out. Ever.

They do. After he serves his twenty years, there will be a hearing to determine if he should be committed based on the danger he presents to the public. Doubt he makes it out then either, so you'll probably get your wish.

From what little I read, it seemed like he wasn’t crazy. He was a registered nurse (not bartender), btw. The defense argued he was insane because he was on drugs at the time, and he kind of spiraled out of control for three months *beginning* the month he murdered a child with a knife.

To me, that’s a horrible defense, and sounds almost worse than being clear-headed, cold-blooded child murderer. Whatever. Can you imagine being the parents? Or anybody involved with that crap trial? See ya in 4 years at the parole hearing!

GBB!

That insanity BS is the worst. Shaun Windsor killed members of my family and tried to make himself look insane, but thankfully did not succeed.

I’m speaking from a position of knowledge but I’d bet there were some jurors who went home that night wishing they could get a do over.

What’s so horrifying? Life is what it is man, and I enjoy every minute TBH.

Just have a very personal reason as to why “insanity” is no excuse to get out of a crime.

-I've had a few minor interactions with that family in the 30 months since it happened, and each time, I just find myself at a loss for what each day of their lives must be like. I mean, living in Versailles and just having to talk about it with my OWN kids(who had heard about it at school) was hard enough.

-I know it's still morning, but go ahead and count "Jim Boeheim does Pilates" as the most surprising headline you'll see today.

-Pitt's probably gonna blow this hire, too.
