False UCL, and False '73.
BBdK shutting down stories about kids, even if they're feasible = hatboggan

-Our 4 year old has been having trouble sleeping & finally she told us what she was worried about. "16 tops" she sobbed.

-Calcutta last night. Nova the highest bid at $5,700. UVA 2nd at $5,200. Kentucky -->$2,200. Zona --> $2,000

-Charleston spring break for Dad. Hope the weather is decent, but just excited to smell some salt air, frankly.

-The relevance of St. Patrick's Day came and went in my life. Was a good 7-10 year run, tho.

-Paul's Fruit Market has a dope cran-chicken salad. Recommended.

-I lose virtually all of my lower leg hair each winter. Disturbing. Good news is the rumors of my hairline's demise have been greatly exaggerated. It's looking regal with age, tbh.

-I have been chewing a lot of people out lately. Not sure if my temper is getting worse or it's just a part of life's progression.

-First 1 seed most likely to fall? Xavier, Kansas, UVA, NOVA...

-Just not into Chris Stapleton. Sturgill and Isbell FTW. I'VE TRIED.

-False

-I love Charleston. And salt air.

-I agree. My plans for Saturday... clean some stuff out of the house, watch the game and have Saturday FAMILY dinner with the neighbors. I'll snap you the details.

-I understand. See Saturday at Ruth's Chris.

Shout out to GYERO for putting me onto new music a few years ago. I was a miserable radio simpleton but have been introduced to a whole new world of music.

If you haven't already give these guys a listen:
Tyler Childers, AJ Hobbs, Colter Wall, Brent Cobb, Ward Davis, Cody Jinks, or Jeremy Pinnell.

Keep an eye on Joshua Hedley, his first album comes out in May. I like 2 of his 3 singles.

The bland uniformity of NCAA tourney courts these days is another example of the NCAA screwing up a good thing.

Yep- used to be cool knowing a team from Kentucky and a team from Michigan we’re locking horns in New Mexico (for example).

But at least CBS doesn’t just choose what games we get to watch now.

Tubby’s out, maybe Georgia will rehire him. Sounds like something uninspiring they would do.

Also Rick Stansbury wouldn’t surprise me either.

- Attended an event at The Omni last Thursday that was work related. Very impressive space. Had some cocktails in the speakeasy bar which was definitely a little whiskey chic but cozy nonetheless. I didn’t get to check the other bars/restaurants but a group of us are going this Friday for cocktails before dinner at Mussel and Burger bar.

When you walk in you feel like you’re in a bigger city. The place had a serious buzz about it but I wonder what it wil feel like like once the newness wears off and we get past Derby. I could only imagine the pregame vibe if we had a NBA franchise in town. That’s ok. Jeff Walz has The Lady Birds in contention for another Final Four run and Louisville City FC is in a great spot to defend their highly sought after title in the USL.

Better, at least we're adults now and don't have to rely on the humanity of nerdy school teachers to watch our Wildcats play ball in March.

As bad as the teachers were that didn't allow game viewing, the ones that GOT IT and had this beautiful bastard sitting in front of the classroom this Thursday and Friday were/are saints.

Shout out to Mr. Gregory. RIP, homey.

Despised every teacher who refused to show the games. Even (especially) in high school. It's cultural here. You could just as easily not let kids out for Christmas.

On in my class. All day. It's actually great leverage for work and behavior.

Anyone else having family dinner w/ their neighbors during the UK game Saturday night?

[sick]

Friday afternoon: Oldest kid is in a basketball tournament.

Friday night: Middle kid has "truck decorating party" (wtf) for her softball team at 6:00.

Saturday morning: Middle kid has "Opening Day Parade" for her softball team (WTF???) at 9:00.

Saturday all day: Oldest kid is in a basketball tournament.

Bret B just posted a long tribute to Stephen Hawking on his facebook page that is damn near verbatim the copied and pasted twitter feed of @physicsmatt.

A shameless loser, that guy. Christ.
Serious question, who is Brett B and how do YOU get off bitching about his stupid tweets when you’re the one busy gobbling them all up?

You're the absolute worst, modern American sportswriter.

He changed it, but the most egregious offender was Mark Coomes when his twitter bio said that he "scribbles, scrawls, bloviates" and a bunch of other stupid unnecessary verbs. You write, you dumb nerds. That's all. Everybody in America who made it through 3rd grade can do what you do. Stop trying to execute a 720 degree windmill dunk from foul line and just execute a simple layup, would you?
