A few re-watch thoughts:
-Underrated spot in that game was late 1st Half when Quade (2) & Knox nailed triples on 3 straight possessions to keep it "respectable" (lol) at 15'ish. That lead could have gotten to 25 very easily.
-How awesome was that sequence where Gabriel blocked 2 straight shots on one end, then raced down to the other for the huge follow up bucket? He's had a lid on the basket for a few games, but it never stops him from doing what he does best. I love that guy. He was ALL OVER the place in that 2nd half...even had a few great tips for rebounds that don't show up in the box (like he always does)
-"The Rebound" and cocky little walk away after the foul by Vando really got me jacked up. What a ridiculously athletic/strong play that was on an otherwise pedestrian moment in a game. He's going to be fine, and those little baskets and put-backs will start falling. PJ had the exact same problem early.
-Some of those Knox drives were TOUGH. He's still going to have plenty of games where he's off from deep, but as long as he plays with that type of urgency it won't matter. Hopefully, a star was born.
-Said it during the game, and I'll say it again since I'm so hard on him ---> Diallo's attitude/energy seemed to be the spark for the guys, he was READY in that 2nd Half, starting with ripping that ball from dude after the OOB walk. He felt it, and it was contagious. Was happy for him.
-Hearing all the comeback records & how that one stacked up really puts into perspective how amazing that comeback was historically as far as UK goes. One of the best, and certainly the most improbable & unexpected. Special night, hopefully it leads to great things.
