Woke up with a smile on my face, just a great win that this team especially needed to have any chance of doing something.

A lot of FB friends have posted that “they’ve turned the corner”. That may or may not be true and I’ll wait and see, but it’s definitely a trend in the right direction. As long as we don’t turn around and lose one of the next two and can beat UT at home, THEN I’ll consider if we’ve turned the corner.

F'n A. Just finished the game. What a ride. Down 15 in the first I ff'd 40 minutes. It stopped with 12 minutes remaining and UK had it down to 2. Paused that sumbitch, went to grab a couple cold ones, back to the basement, rewind to start of 2nd half, watch and prosper.

I know WVU is struggling but that's a great win in that environment.

John Denver is full of shit. Well, was.

Watched the 2nd half with the sound muted. 4 year old daughter sleeping on the couch with me. Rewatched again this morning and Bilas is insufferable. He is most definitely,in his mind the smartest person in the room. Makes me long for the days Billy Packer or the days before Vitale became a "character" of himself.

Was great when one guy called the game and one guy offered expert insight into the game(that they're calling).

Absolutely, if you watch some of the games on espn classic from the 80's Vitale is a totally different commentator. No yelling and "baby", or talking about everything and anything other than what is in front of him.

Love the guys razzing Knox after that performance. I’d imagine the guys understand what they pulled off last night, what a feeling.

We now have at least one moment that we’ll all remember from this season.

”Caricature” not being a smart ass just don’t want you to blow it on the evening news.

How about you go run you and your scooter into a fire pit.

Second best single game coaching job by John in his tenure (Ohio State).

Two weeks ago it's a 25-point loss.

Jevon Carter is good but I don't think he's adjusted to not having Pittsnogle around to bail him out when the offense bogs down.

Not sure what the most bonkers statistic was - 18-18 FTs in the second half, 49-34 rebounds, Vanderbilt 11 boards in 11 minutes, 50-28...bizarre stats all around.

GYERO is better than I was capable of giving it the last 2 weeks. Trust me, it would have been worse than usual.

Kevin Knox was big ball dancing and talking trash after every bucket last night, all the way back down the court.

More than anything, talent showed itself. Huggins has to play that style because of the caliber of players he has. It works against certain opponents and skill sets, but against raw talent, it just doesn't work at all. This is what his loss in the tournament will look like.

Eff Virginia. I mean, it's obviously great when Duke loses. But the journalists probably have their masturbatory "THIS YEAR VIRGINIA CAN DEFINITELY WIN THE TITLE LOOK AT HOW MUCH CONTROL TONY BENNETT HAS OVER HIS TEAM" pieces ready, and no. They don't win games as much as they make the other team lose. They're going to have a game in March where they play their perfect defense and the shots go in anyway, and what are they going to do? I think they're going to get beat.

Continued props to many in GYERO for being the first ones to hate Jay Bilas. He is so far gone now, totally FUBAR. But I do blame the network for doing this to him. They got Dan Dakich and I think they're starting to get Sean Farnham, but they're taking these great analysts and trying to turn them into Bobby the Brain or something. If I'm a color commentator trying to break into the business, please send me to CBS or FOX. Anywhere but the Worldwide Leader. "You're going to be the crazy redneck who makes wheelchair jokes and screams like the Tourette's Guy!"

Everybody sucks in college basketball. Villanova is the least flawed team. Michigan State is close but has bad juju. A 10-seed can win this year.

Board it.

Now that the "shine" has worn/is beginning to wear off some of these media darlings suchas Izzo, Self, Marshall, Miller, and even Pitino, it looks as if UVA and Bennett are the heirs to the squeaky-clean, "purist" loving CBB writers.

You know who's done a hell of a job and doesn't get enough mention from the upright, morally superior brigade? Matt Painter. Purdue has completely changed their style from previous years and are actually fun to watch. They have become what IUbb wants to be. Top 3 COY candidate imo.

-Virginia will lose to the first team that can score 70-75 on them.

-Unless it clears up quickly (it won’t) there will be too much hanging over MSU’s head to be able to put together that 6 game run.

-Mountians last two weeks, took a walk on the beach a bit ago. Bern’s for supper tonight. Not a bad vacay gang.

.

-Seems reasonable. The most they’ve given up ALL YEAR is 63, to the #1 offense in the country, at Cameron.

-Like UNC last year?

The scores of Virginia's NCAA losses since this good run of theirs started in 2014:

61-59
60-54
68-62
65-39

It's never been the defense that was a problem. It's always the offense and the inability to get buckets in key situations. What they're doing now is fantastic, especially to do what they did to Duke on the road and just completely take them out of what they want to do. But it feels like they've been in similar situations at this point of the last few seasons.

If I'm wrong, let it be. But I'm a believer in Virginia not getting it done.

Villanova was "always fade in March" until they weren't. Virginia will break through at some point. I think learning how to coach through the tournament is a learning curve for some coaches. Virginia's too good year after year and Bennett is too good. They're gonna break through at some point and this may as well be the year.

I like it. So sick and tired of robot athletes. I like him about as much as I can like any of the euros.

Of course if I say that, Bbdk spins it to him being my favorite golfer.

You can really tell Izzo is out of his element with this stuff, and has no clue what to say. He’s doing his best to coach speak his way out of it, but it’s a struggle. Probably best to have a PR firm give him 4-5 things to say, and then repeat them in interviews sporadically around basketball talk.

Fatrick Reed and Rory battling it out was what I want to see in golf. Not some Spaniard cry like a bitch every time something doesn't go his way. Dude is a psycho on the course. He'll be on Fehrety in 15 years telling us that he had a lot of growing up to do and blah blah blah.

Wow...JB just made a huge putt. You can tell he's under a ton of pressure but that was just clutch to save that par.

Came all the way back and took the lead, only for them to hit two complete bullshit threes and Diallo throw an outlet pass for them to put us back down 4 with the crowd going bonkers at the under 8 TO.

And then this team gathered itself and won. That takes some serious god damn balls to get that done.
