Are you? Maybe because I skip most of your posts...but feels like you've only posted in this thread the last six months.

I've watched you grow up around here, what with your your white shoes and superman cape, teaching our CC youth, banging sloots.....and being somewhat proud to see you grow up and get a job that you actually like.

While I didn't like you back in the day, because I found you to be an obnoxious snot, I respect you because you seem to have grown up and are doing something as an adult that you are good at. So, Congrats.

Also, Go Cubs

Serious question, how high are you right now?

iceman_zps5b64f508.gif
60mg THC, 30mg CBD over the course of the day.

I mean we still don't have a consistent rotation. I didn't think the pieces fit well preseason but I like the kids. Actually like them a lot more than I thought I would. Just a weird season.
Whatever, we all know they are just a bunch of selfish punk NBA wannabes if they don’t win the basketball games we expect them to.

I watched jeopardy most of the night, felt great about it!

Nah, I’d rather just let teams score like we do to get the game totals up! Makes it a lot more fun to watch, our games are a joy.

UVA would beat us similarly (right now).

2 separate posts aren’t necessary. Ride around with me sometime and I’ll show you how to edit.

^ couldn't agree more, SAE.

Hoop Randos:

-Dakich toying w/ UofL? Says he has something coming for his show today, regarding the NCAA.

-Nice to see us finish strong last night. Of course, State seemingly missed their last 20 shots, but I liked the way we attacked late, especially PJ.

-Speaking of PJ, that guy has fun out there, which I love. Gabriel & Shai do as well, and probably not a coincidence those are the 3 guys I enjoy the most at this time. Rest of the crew just looks so uptight and borderline miserable.

-Cal addressed Vanderbilt's PT in postgame, but he needs to follow through on it. Dude's mind is racing so fast and far ahead that he can't even catch a ball or rebound without bobbling it. He's never going to get comfortable playing 3 or 4 2-minute stretches in a game. As Geese noted last night on super secret text, he must be allowed to FAIL FAST!!!

-Even more important though, imo, is getting Green back in sync...man is he mess. I honestly wouldn't be against going back to the old starting lineup for a bit, as he & Diallo simply haven't been the same since. Shai is going to be Shai whether he starts or comes off the bench.

Oh, minus Richards of course. Several games in a row now that he starts, gets 10 minutes, then doesn't start or really even play in the 2H. Enough of that, play the guys earning their minutes. Richards is going to be a good & serviceable big in time, but we have a plethora of big guys who can & should handle those minutes RIGHT NOW.

-How good is Trae Young? Dude came out last night basically to make a point that he was just gonna pass, get everyone involved...didn't even take a 3 in the first half. Still scores 26 points (on 9 shots) and racked up 9 assists. Kid is on another level.

^ Young v Sexton this weekend should be fun.

-Crean is fantastic. Lost count of how many times he called the exact play/result as the ball was being brought up the floor. These coaches-turn-announcers are always great to start off though, before eventually feeling the need to join HOT TAKE WORLD. We'll see.

-A&M goes down again. Would really be disappointing if they play their way out of the tournament, and they're getting close.

- Agreed on Washington, Young, Young v. Sexton, and Crean.

- Big Gabriel fan but man is he a hack.

- Green may still be injured. He’s been awful.

- Big thing right now is figuring out a rotation. Our chemistry has been off since SGA seized the team, and then injuries compounded it. Unlike others, I don’t hate our makeup.

I think we could do some damage (in the NIT lol) if we get everyone going and figuring out their roles.

- We need Vanderbilt’s passing in a huge way.

- We also need Knox taking the most shots every night. For all of his flaws, he’s easily our most gifted offensive player.

- Man, we miss a rim protector.

I know Young is getting plenty of buzz and OU is pretending to care about b-ball for a year...but goodness, could you imagine what kind of a rock star he would be here? Like Wall level.

Oh well...

Leading me to Quade, he has to get back to form in, ugh, about 3 days because Sat we need him bad and for the rest of the season. Diallo played harder last night even when he wasn’t scoring but it’s hard to have him and Vanderbilt in together...imo, when Vanderbilt is in Quade and Shai also need to be in to space and allow him to do some point forward stuff. Nobody guards Diallo outside of 10 feet, he’s better paired with Wenyen.

-I don't think Crean will go all HOT TAKE any time soon, because unlike the others(Dakich, Seth, etc.), he clearly wants another gig ASAP. But I agree, he was outstanding last night.

-Used to watch tennis like crazy back when I was a kid. Becker, Chang, Agassi, loved all those guys. But grand slams don't even register on my radar anymore, and I know I'm missing out on seeing the GOAT while he's still contending for titles. Doesn't help that the Australian Open is played at 3 a.m. our time.

-How good of a job has Chris Holtmann done? Easily the best thing to ever come out of Nicholasville(which isn't saying much lol). 7-0 in an (admittedly weak) Big Ten, but that includes a 16-point win over Sparty, and the next three are easily winnable games at home. And he's doing it with an NIT-level roster.

-Kentucky vs. WVU is a nice throwback to the days in the mid-80's, when Kentucky would play a random high-profile OOC opponent, often on Super Bowl Sunday. Houston(Olajuwon), Navy(Robinson) were the two from that decade, and then Pitino added Villanova and Syracuse in the same way 10 years later. I'd completely forgotten that in the 92 season, we played EKU and Western during the middle of conference play. That was weird.

So right at tipoff last night, I get a random group text with like 10 people on it, 7 of which I never converse with at all over text - and proceeded to get bombarded with around 20 texts in the first 3 minutes of the game, all of which contained cheesy and corny jokes. Coupled with our ugly start, it's fair to say I was livid.

Don't ever do that again, Pope. Wtf

Guess I should add that I like all the people in real life -- but man, in-game texting friends/groups are a sacred & established thing, at least to me.
