Re: GYER25-O

It's still coming down in Lex. Had to shovel out a path just to get in the hot tub. Snow dropped my temp from 103 to 100 in just 20 min. Thats a lot for 500 gallons. Damn flip flops were covered when we got out. Now robed up, scotch in hand, starting Treme.

Now that's a solid humble brag.

Re: GYER25-O

The following Monday, Rich Brooks, who was Kentucky's football coach at the time, had his weekly press conference and began reading over injury reports. He listed all the injuries and then at the end said that Alan Cutler is out this week with a hamstring

First time i've heard that one

Is it? Does anyone in this thread besides Bob wish they could be in an above ground bacteria caldron in the middle of a snowstorm?

Re: GYER25-O

that Hobodrunk oral history coulda been much, much worst. Left out a lot of ugly.

-He called T A&M 3 weeks after leaving begging to come back
-Wore T A&M belt buckle 1st 2 or 3 games before someone told him to stop being a bitch
-being a jerk to Leach pregame & postgame
-Playing Jasper after only 6 months recovery from microfracture surgury
-starting Mark Coury since he practiced hard, damnit
and last but not least,
-could not come to a final contract agreement and sign it in 2 friggin years

Re: GYER25-O

2nd time I've heard that Alan Cutler/Rich Brooks joke. The first time was when it actually happened. /rolleyes

1 week now with 2 toddlers in the house. You people with children.....whew. Pups. Sent.

Tshirt weather here today.

Mardi Gras is so incredible. Just an amazing celebration of food, culture, drink, dance, music, friends, family, and everything in between. Proud to be a lifelong dyed in the wool New Orleanian.

Saw tommygs boy today, and he evidently started a college hoops podcast with a few buddies, including 1 who's on ESPN. Hoop Geeks, I think it's called. Duke fan, which is wack. But thinks tommygs UK Fandom is garbage, which is true.

Re: GYER25-O

So Bricker trades texts with Lisa Ann. First Ace Boogie, now Booker.

Bob just messed himself I'm sure

Re: GYER25-O

Playing Jasper too soon was his biggest offense in my book. Completely changed that dudes career track and not for the better.

If the Athletic Director knew about any one of these and didn't fire the drunkard, then Mitch should have been dismissed with extreme prejudice.

Re: GYER25-O

Mitch letting him go into his 2nd year coaching here while still no signed contract still amazes me. And Cal signed virtually the same contract language in a matter of hours after being hired.

Re: GYER25-O

^I think he got rushed when the Donovan thing fell through and made that hire. Surely no one, even Goodman's dumbass, could have predicted it would unfold the way it did. After he was here for a few months pretty hard to negotiate if BCG wasn't wanting to. He made a mistake rushing the announcement before he had a contract.

IMO, that whole deal is what really got him tossed and the NIT and other rumors just gave Mitch an out. Before that Mitch couldn't do anything without looking like an idiot.

I'm sure the first thing portion of the discussion was having a finalized contract, Cal is probably smart enough to realize he needs one as well. Likely why we stared at a white door for 3 days while it was all formalized.

Re: GYER25-O

Chlorine, ozonator, silver ion cartridges...nothing living in my water that isn't contfolled. Good Grief, learn antimicrobials.

The twins crushing Lisa Ann or Randle and his little blonde dime, who would Bbdk bate it to first?

Re: GYER25-O

After hearing all the crazy stories about the BCG era, I have got to believe that he was doing everything he could to get out of here. I think he realized he was in way over his head and turned into the worst possible person he could to see just how far he could go before being fired with a fat paycheck to go away. I honestly think even he was shocked at how much UK put up with.

That's not to say he didn't have wild in him before he got here but once he was here he was crazy times 100!!

All I can do is

Re: GYER25-O

Speaking of Lisa Ann, was just listening to Mad Dog Radio, and there was a sound bite from an interview she did this morning or recently. Not verbatim but "I've been following the Harrison twins since they got to Kentucky. They are beautiful. I'd like to make it happen with them but I think they are religious so I probably can't.....". She went on to say she didn't want to see them go pro because doesn't want them broken up.

WhyTF do you think Lisa Ann was brought up in the first place? Another Lisa Ann/UK news event. Jesus, Chief

Re: GYER25-O

Every once in awhile I'll get curious about somethng chief says so I'll take off ignore.

No idea why I do that.

But anyway, appreciate the hot take chief.

Re: GYER25-O

Haven't paid much attention today but did see your post Transy. First I heard about it.

75 and sunny by the pool today in Texas.

Re: GYER25-O

Helluva finish in the Kansas-WV game. What a move by Staten, and almost an equally great outlet and play from Kansas.

Re: GYER25-O

Always a great day when Kansas loses... Subtract 1 more from Kansas' all time wins chase.

The lead will open up a bit when the NCAA finally vacates their entire season in 2013 for using an ineligible McLemore, who was receiving benefits from the agent he signed with.

Like that's going to happen.

Re: GYER25-O

When is Chad gonna post a pic of his snowman?

-Watched FNL from noon to 9pm yesterday.
laugh.r191677.gif
Funny how those marathons suck you in on days like that...wasn't sure what else to do snowed it -- hate being off work during the middle of the week.

Man, that's such a good show to me.

-Great time in Lex. Dudley's was good, albeit overpriced. I can certainly find better meals/venues for a $200 meal. Plus, the power was out for the first 30 minutes, extry romantic.
ohwell.r191677.gif

..Winchell's Sunday morning tho!!!!

-Comedy show was awesome...such an underrated good time. Greg Morton still as funny as ever, he brought the house down. Scott Wilson was even funny as was the undercard.

-Yesterday was cool I guess, not gonna complain about a random 'snow day' -- but now I'm done. Shit isn't going anywhere, either, with these temps.

-Hard to believe the SECT & Selection Sunday is less than a month away.

Re: GYER25-O

If you are over the age of 22, snow days are awful. Fun for a few hours, but the gridlock and impossibility of getting anything done gets old really quick. Driving is literally a life/death situation. And now, temperatures at 10 year lows.

No thanks. Bring on March.

Re: GYER25-O

Yep. If I could, I would put myself into a 14 week coma and wake up in March. So sick of this weather. I can handle the snow getting dumped on. It is the single to negative digit temps that are following it that are putting me in a foul mood.

Re: GYER25-O

Touch my daycare for closing yesterday & today. Pisses me off beyond belief, if I want to keep my kids safe and not risk them on the roads then I will keep them home, I don't need you deciding for me. And they won't give me a break on our bill *AND* I know for a fact that the employees dont get paid for snow days. Bastards pocket the money, so dishonest.

UK 75
vols 67

so Pitino's shopping for graduate students to transfer in for their sr year next year. lord knows guys can step right in and fit in his system perfectly and he has no problem letting guys learn while playing.

Re: GYER25-O

Jason King on Karl Towns. Awesome job, par for the course for King.

Still can't believe Bleacher Report snagged King. Did anybody win on that deal? I know King's getting less exposure, but is he pumping out enough material to give Bleacher Report the exposure they were hoping for?

Re: GYER25-O

Yesterday was fun, but really wanted to get back to work today. For what these closed days are costing, marcus be in Mexico. Oh Well, guess it's Treme marathon day 2. Show really makes me wanna hit Mardi Gras. Maybe next year will have a more reliable place to stay.

Pretty big fan of Major Peet coffee. Been spot on.

Still having trouble believing Scot Wilson was funny, Adrian must have been gin faced.

Re: GYER25-O

As excited as I am about March, I always get a little sad this time of year when there are only a few home games left and basketball season nears the end. Senior Nights, first small conference tourneys start up, team's seasons begin to end, offseason speculation, etc. Just bittersweet.

Love the picture towards the end of the article referencing Towns meeting Lebron James with a photo of James shaking hands with Edgar Sosa.

I get posting when you're on vacation on the beach or at a cool place but literally no one is jealous or even interested in that. In fact there aren't many things I'd like to be doing less than sitting in a hot tub right now.

Everytime he gets the urge to get in that hot tub he needs to go hit the elliptical instead then eat a salad.
