Greg Brown hinting at UK commitment?

UK was the last envelope which is why he wrote it on that one. Info is hard to come by this spring with the shutdown. But Greg is a beast and he is strongly considering us. That much is a fact. But he wants to play with a solid center. So UK getting Richards back or signing Haarms would seal it.

Seal it??? Youre joking right?

Nope. He wants to play the 3, not center. He was very clear when he said he wants to play on a loaded team that can win it all and gives him the best chance to get drafted, and also, he wants to play with a good center. That's us, is we get one of those two things.

Win it all? At Texas this season? And they are one of his two choices? Something not right.

There really is some truth to that. And I may be wrong, but I think Brown is vastly overrated. I peg him as the bust of this year's five stars.

Brown seems to be this year's Jaden McDaniels. A nice player to add, but by no means is he a big difference maker.

Brown can go to Texas (just like McDaniels went to Washington), average 12 and 5, and go .500 and miss the NCAA Tournament.

I'm not even sure he averages that, unless he's getting a lot of shots. I'm really not that impressed with him.

I agree, he would be nice to have, but I really want to see Brooks get a chance, he shows a lot of promise at the end of the season.

According to the CDC, tobacco smoking kills 480,000 Americans every year (average 1315 per day). That's 18,410 over the past 2 weeks. Maybe 2019 isn't considered the modern era?

Well, fortunately, the decision to smoke is not contagious. I can go to the grocery store or a ballgame without fear of catching lung cancer from touching an infected surface.

I'd rather have a So Brooks than a Fr Brown at the 4.

I'm not sure that would be the decision even if he decided to come here. If, and I don't expect it, Brown decided to come to UK, I would imagine that the starting lineup would look like this: Clarke, Boston, Brown, Brooks, possibly Haarms or EJ. I would suspect that Brown would push Mintz and Askew to the bench, not Brooks.

Having said that, I fully expect that the starting line-up will be Mintz (or Askew), Clarke, Boston, Brooks, Haarms (or EJ if he returns). In a pipe dream, that last spot would be Richard's spot if he returned, but he isn't.

ok genius...that is a CONTROLLABLE thing..if people are so stupid to smoke that's on them. Flu, Diabetes, auto accidents etc....

Brown would be the 3 at UK. I'd rather have Soph Brooks at 4 with FR Brown at 3 possibly then Jr EJ at 4 and Soph Brooks trying to play 3.

Say this not expecting Brown at UK at all. I do think he's far better then majority here do, and he's a guy who is highlight player. Also laughing at the "difference maker articles" written in Texas right now about him going there. It's the same stuff only inserting Brown's name where Mo Bamba's was. Mo's name was promised to be on buildings with his impact and only place I'm looking for it now is in Post Offices or side of Milk Cartons as he's been missing since playing for PSA Cardinals.

Brown would make this an all-time highlight team. I just can’t see it happening.

With sophomore Brooks who has a lot of talent and two 6'7'' monster wings coming in, why do we need Brown? Would he play ahead of any of those 3 at either SF or PF? I have serious doubts. Either Clark or Boston could move to guard, but that might still leave Brown as a player coming off the bench. I have a hard time believing he wants to play possibly 10 or 12 minutes per game as a sub. Whether or not he's jerking us around or not, only Cal probably knows. Take him if he's willing to come and earn his minutes and isn't afraid of the competition. If it's just a ruse to engender publicity to help his brand, pull the offer before he puts on that UT hat and leaves ours on the table.

Boston
Clarke
Brown
Montgomery/Jackson
Haarms
Most of our fans are amazing, but a few of you guys are lost. Look at that lineup. Greg Brown is a beast, and him at the 3 creates big time mismatches. Texas is the favorite. But UK is a very close 2nd, make no mistake about it. Cal made a great impression on dad. Kentucky is firmly in this thing fellas. The last deciding factors are Nick Richards, and Haarms. We need one of them here next year. That will really help. EJ's decision does not play into it,
