If you haven't heard the "Can't play him if he can't rebound" comment then you've been living under a rock. And of course it's motivational (or at least it's meant to be). Everything Cal does is meant to be motivational. Either to current players or to recruits. He only talks to reporters and sideline personalities to get his message out there. If you listen to the question being asked, you'll notice that he rarely addresses it. He just goes on talking about what he wants to say and the befuddled little reporter has to stand there acting like Cal is actually answering the question he/she asked. Kinda funny observing this.
