Grayson Looks great against everyone BUT......

Yup. UK shut his goofy ass down. We'll do it again if they make it far enough in March.

Did I hear Dick Vitale compare him to John Havlicek? What a joke.

Of all the years watching Duke games with Dickie V calling them, that was the absolute worst slurp fest over one player I have EVER seen. EVER.

Cal said no spot up shots for Grayson. He said if he could get it off the dribble then he could have it but he wasn't going to be spotting up on us.

Just imagine if he hadn't gone up against our fast/athletic guards and inside height . The media will still promote Allen to no end but there will always be a counterpoint now , that he won't play anybody else like UK and if he is considered the best then what does that make Ulis ?

The hype machine is going to be out of control over this guy all season. His performance against UK is already a fleeting memory.

Dude is a great player. We did a great job against him.

Our Duke win looking pretty good now and will look really good come Selection Sunday.
This is what I was going to say. It's a credit to our team that we were able to shut him down. Kid is a baller, and has a beautiful outside shot. He's going to score a *lot* of points this year.

What is lost is not so much that Kentucky put a great athlete on Grayson, it was that we had other great athletes guarding all their other players, too. So Cal made Grayson prove he could put it on the floor and beat our guards and he couldn't do it. Funneled him into the middle all night. GREAT job by Cal.

Cal game planned with him in mind and did a damn good job. That and Duke's point guard still not yet really being ready to take the job made that a hard game for Duke. Cal is a very good coach and an even better recruiter. I give Cal credit for that victory.

They will still end up in a much better bracket than us no matter how the rest of the season plays out , given that it's meaningless come March seeding .

He is a nice player but Vitale made it impossible to listen to and Grayson himself celebrating after each shot made me want to throw up. Many others Vitale would have commented about this...he will have that grad assistant job soon. :)

They were making a case for him as NPOY before the UK game.

That's how incredible this is. But there is no Duke bias. Oh no, no no...

This guy clears out with his left arm E-V-E-R-Y time he drives. Somebody is going to send a message to him at some point in the season if the refs don't call it.

Lol Georgetown is garbage. They aren't as bad as Siena and Bryant, but they are far off from Kentucky.

Duke's competition has been, like usual, very weak.

Hes scored 30 and 32 since our game. All it tells me is hes playing against inferior competition and as a whole UK is better then Duke. Ulis is to quick for Allen, Briscoe is to strong for Allen and Murray is to athletic for Allen. If we play them in March with Skal coming into his own, Poy fully trusting his Knee, Willis not playing scared, Lee getting better as the season goes I think we win again.

Someone with good humor and Photoshop skills needs to run with this... I mean, Duke Blue DEVILS, The Omen, looks identical Grayson Allen, Goes to a prepster school, is a sniveling little pissant..

FWIW, Allen already has 40 FTA, which I believe is a top20 spot in the nation, and that includes his no-show pants-shitting at Kentucky. He's essentially getting 10 free-throws a game. Lmfao. Didn't know he was on James Harden's level.

Why that's such a laugher is this: He played garbage minutes last year, on a fairly thin Duke lineup. He wasn't good enough to get in the game until foul trouble against Wisconsin. Yet, essentially being a freshman, he's now skilled enough to draw 10 FTA's a game? I don't think so. He'd be getting 5-6 on any other team, if that.

OMG, Grayson Allen IS Damien!!!

IDC how many FTs he shoots per game as long as he does not get the BS calls against UK. The refs did not give him many calls against us so hope it stays that way if we play again in March.

I wouldn't worry.. Last year, If the NCAA didn't want Duke to face us until the latest possible round .. They certainly won't this year. Grayson is still having nightmares about us. We will destroy them in March.

Duke will be on the opposite side of the bracket.. You can book that now.

Just force Allen to his left hand and he is done, he always drives to his right with the chicken wing.

Allen has been great so far with the exception of one game. And with every monster game he has it just makes Briscoe look that much better so I'm not gonna hate on the kid.

Allen is a world class flopper....he literally falls down onto the court more than any other player in the country. Even in our game he fell down after every drive but didn't really get the call until Skal's bogus 5th foul call....but against most team's he falls down and gets the call. He learned it from Tyus Jones last year who also was a criminal fall down after every drive to the basket and they will call something guy. He is a baller for sure but falling down 7 times a game with no contact diminishes his overall ability.

I didn't see much of the game today, but I did see him with that nice little shove under the basket against a G'Town player after he got beat to the basket.

More Coack K defensive training....

As Thornton progresses and Allen moves off the ball, those numbers will drop but his overall effectiveness will go up.

Still think you guys are the favorite at this point. Ullis is very good and so much starts at that position.
