Let me make it simpler for you. I am sickened by that meme. Yes, it is hard on the eyes but I had to post it to show how pathetic some fans have gotten.
You're right and these kids are victims, but it's obvious that they have been manipulated into believing that they weren't sacrificed for the sins of others.

UL fans are scared, plain and simple. They KNOW that Pitino is the best coach they can hope for and they are holding onto every shred of hope they can right now.
In my opinion, the 2013 banner is coming down and the 2013 and 2014 seasons will be vacated. Also, I expect at least another postseason band for 2016-2017 and a loss of scholarships. This is huge and Jurich's bully-esque attempts to keep this quiet or to skew the facts won't keep this thing from getting out. He has gotten a rude-awakening over the last few months that his power to control the media only extends to the boundaries of Jefferson County. He has no control over the NCAA or their investigation nor can he scare them into letting this go with a warning. The self-imposed post season ban is UL's pathetic attempt to try and get off with a slap on the wrist and a promise not to do anything like this again (with their fingers firmly crossed behind their shady backs). Unfortunately, the NCAA currently has two major clouds hanging over their heads - the UNC academics scandal and the UL hooker scandal. They will have to act harshly on one of those two (at least). Both involve the potential of vacated NCAA titles and seasons. The NCAA can not choose to ignore both of them, so which one do you think the hammer will fall at????

I think you are correct and if that happens it will get much uglier than now. Currently the narrative is McGee acted alone and he alone did all of this with Pitino not knowing. This makes it only seem as if Rick and U of L should have had better oversight as to what was going on, but as of now it was McGee, we did not know, a handful of parties over 4 years - that is what they are trying to spin.
Who knows what Blakeney and Lyles from Ohio State told them. Who knows if current players are involved. Who knows if the money trail leads to someone on staff outside of McGee(Coach Mike?)
It is obvious that the ban happened because of the new info which Pitino does not know, and Jurich and Ramsey have kept him in the dark why? He is possibly implicated in all of this, he is the offering to the NCAA, something else. One thing you can guarantee is what Rick is saying is not the truth - everyone knows that from past experience so no need to read into his quotes. The ugliness surrounding this most likely is still not out for consumption.
