Grumpy, a way OT question for you: How did a Mississippi kid, Walter Nolan who was Rivals #2 ranked prospect, end up at a HS in Knoxville less than 10 miles from the TN campus for his senior year? Of course, he signed with TAM but looks like TN was trying to hoo-doo folks. You have an opinion?

The kid had multiple transfers during his HS career, not really rare anymore. He had been at some school around Nashville I believe for awhile. He was looking to go anywhere but to the vols and what I read was his coach got a new job and a nice raise to coach at the Knoxville school, don't know if the raise depended on him signing with the vols or not. But from everything I read A&M wasn't going to lose him over money.

What On3 has really done is become an outlier. Outliers, without good reason, should typically be all but ignored.

Vito Tisdale was at one time a top 100 recruit and when he started cutting schools Rivals dropped him to a 5.6 3 star. He's been an amazing player for us day 1

That dude is a straight up baller. His only issue is off field stuff. If he can keep his head on straight off the field he will be an amazing player for us over next 2 years.

Is he the kid that was involved in frat gate? Don't really see what he did that was so bad if it was him. No one was hurt when there could have been some serious issues, I think he showed remarkable self control.

Yes it is. I work with one of his high school coaches. He’s said the same thing about him. If he can keep his head straight away from the field the sky is the limit. Just seems to find himself in bad situations. Hopefully he matures and gets all that out of his system
