Yes. I thought he wasn’t promised a scholarship but came back because he was told he would get one.

I read that’s why he initially entered the portal. But then he removed himself from the portal and now he re-enters. So seems something happened.

I don’t think that’s the right attitude to have with this young man. He gave us everything he had at a position and time of need. Nothing wrong with wanting to see who might offer him a scholarship for his last year. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

I didn't say anything negative about this young man, if a player wants to leave, he's free to go. Kentucky is the only school I pull for, if a player is not wanting to stay here, it's next man up, nothing wrong with that.

He's not spurning UK. He likely doesn't have a scholarship if he stays.

You guys don't know what you're talking about. UK has 4 scholarship kickers without him. That's more than double the avg SEC team. When Ruffalo decided to return that slammed the door that was only open an inch. We have 3 FG kickers and Berry on scholly. That's too many already.

Any chance we can convince Chance Poore to enter the portal and get Goodfellow to stay?

There's no reason to think that happened. The punter expected to play last year who was injured is back. Maybe he's healthy, maybe something else changed. Maybe Goodfellow was unsure of that situation and wanted to get his name in the portal before May 1st so he could play immediately.

The SEC has some future NFL guys returning kickoffs, Poore takes them out of the game! Easily earning his keep!

My nephew will be camping at UK this summer. Hoping he shows out well. I think he’ll be a more accurate and have longer range than Jackson Smith. Unless Poore takes a Covid year, both he and Ruffalo will be gone after next year opening a door for him.
