Heading to Rupp for game tomorrow night for first time since the new Civic Center has been redone. Where is a great place to get a good burger within walking distance of up or inside the Civic Center? Any help would be much appreciated.

Not a burger and you'll need to get there early but we love Pies and Pints right across from the fountains at triangle park. Plenty of seating, good beverage selection if you're into that and the wings/pizza are very good.

It's a bit of a walk and a tiny hole-in-the-wall, but if you can get in Sidebar, that's the best burger.

We really like the burgers (and all the food) at Nic and Norman's. A couple blocks from Rupp.

I'd second Pies and Pints. As a NYC pizza snob I liked it quite a bit. They have some unique and interesting pizzas.

Scratch that! Check Sawyers Facebook page for hours during downtown events. Looks like they do sometimes have extended hours for game day.

I typed Max and Erma's the first time. I meant Nic and Norman's. Memory getting bad

The concession stand is high, but solid in a pinch. May even leave with a cup you can take home that’s says wildcats or something.

Pizza is awesome.
They brew their own beer but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting a pitcher of their house brewed Root Beer is awesome.

Pies and Pints is amazing.... they closed a lot of their locations near me which sucked. They chose really high rent places which I'm assuming why they closed nothing to do with their food.

If you are craving Pizza that is a must try.
