Going to be hard for me to be excited for Another Scangarello year

Scang has to go, and we have to get a ST coach.
So you’re on board with four OC’s in four years? How is that a recipe for success? OLine is the bulk of the problem. But replacing Yenser would give the OL four coaches in Four years which in both cases, being on the third in three years for both OC and OL might be part of the problem. So give both some continuity from one year to the next and hope it pays off.

These were issues from game one. Some folks ignored it because UK was 4-0. They didn't look good in those games except UF.

Couldn't run the ball. O line was awful. Defense got very little pressure on QB. But if you mentioned it you were a whiner and complainer. This team is not very good. Average at best.

Recruiting is lacking on D line and O line. Very obvious. But don't worry. Twitter king Marrow is on it.
DLine? Really? Rogers was a 5 star. Walker is a future All American. DLine is NOT our issue. We lack depth in our secondary. As far as OLine recruiting has been strong. Development, not so much but having three OLine coaches in three years will do that.

I won’t be watching this train wreck the 2nd half. Total BS we look like total dog shit for a half following a bye week against #3 team in the country. They aren’t even making plays, they are wide open and we are running into stacked lines. Whole staff would be fired at half if I were in charge.
We’ve rarely played well coming out of a bye week. Always seems like we’re on the road after those too. Last year it was Mississippi State if I’m not mistaken.

How do we get rid of him though? I mean I think he shouldn’t have ever been hired. Coen was on to something and was really making our offense look better. He knew his players and put the ball in their hands. Scan doesn’t know shit and doesn’t try to get it in his best player’s hands.
Scan was supposed to be much of the same. I think Coen even had a hand in finding his replacement, but lack of continuity in the coaching staff leads to these kinds of problems.

Sorry, they are not performing that way. Little to no QB pressure. Running game is bad. Levis doesn't help with his lack of pocket presence.

Just not All SEC level talent there yet. WR is a strength. TE could be. No edge rushers that create problems.

Very true and stoops should answer for this BS. 10 years and his teams have never BM been prepared following a bye. I mean WTF!!!

QB pressure should be coming from the edge, we need depth there. Not having Jones out there is hurting too. The middle of our DLine is about as solid as it’s ever been overall. Tonight might not be indicative of that, but who hasn’t struggled against UT’s offense this year?

From strictly a recruiting standpoint? Go back and look at the classes and tell me how we could have done better recruiting those positions. The guys we have were mostly all highly ranked and highly regarded as recruits. Again, they are in their third OLine coach in three years. Development and schemes will suffer under that circumstance. Plus changing offensive systems that many of the OL weren’t recruited for also hurts.

To some degree dealing with newness is going to be part of things moving forward. With the transfer portal being what it is, it’s going to be adjusting to what you have in short order every year now. If running nfl systems are that much of a problem to learn then we need to go another direction.

Mark Stoops is the main problem with this offense. Always has been, always will be. Last years offense wasn't anything special either.
10 points better on average with only 1 receiving target. Hung 40+ on Tennessee in a shootout. Tell ‘em you wouldn’t take the same UT game as last year rn.

Scang shut down the RPO bc it isn’t a “pro system”. He has forced Levis ri stay in the pocket bc that’s the nfl game ( other than machines, Allen, Lamar) but Scang is an old school trash 49rs offense guy.

Come on. A lot of it is the Jimmy's and Joe's. UK doesn't have enough of them.

UK has had to live on QB transfer wire. Depth is a huge problem. Just because Marrow touts some kid he got, doesn't mean squat.

There's no innovation from Stoops on offense. Except for Coen, it looks the same every year. Defense severely lacks some dudes.

Heupel is running circles around Stoops with a lot of players he didn't recruit. Keep thinking recruiting is ok though.

Scang was a terrible hire. If he's still the OC next season, I won't even bother watching any of the games. He's hopelessly in over his head.

Every time Scang is shown on the sideline he’s looking at his play sheet. He doesn’t watch the game and it’s obvious. Has absolutely zero feel for what’s going on on the field. His hiring was a big mistake.

I was one that kind of ignored it until I saw more data. I think enough is in to question the OC’s intellect in play calling. We will have 1 series out of 4 where he improves consistency in our ball movement. He absolutely runs nothing to slow the aggressiveness of the defense. We are so boxed together that we allow 8 in the box. The opponents safeties are typically playing at linebacker level. We don’t use Levis’ arm strength as a weapon. Hooker last night threw the ball across the field and showed much better arm strength.
