Stoops seriously can't be the coach next year right?

I started UK in 1982..... he seems pretty good to me, compared to what I have had to endure. At one point I thought if the players liked the coach, it was probably OK.... but after some success in football and Cal(I was against him after he showed what he was about, he told us the first year but I didn't believe for a couple more) I think keep him

He will be if fans buy those tickets. Should be refunded this years ticket prices. We know that is not happening.

I think it’s clear he is going to retire. He obviously didn’t want to be here after last year. We can’t afford to fire him but no, we can’t bring him back next year. The fanbase is completely checked out now and we have to find a way to mutually part ways. Give him 10 more million or something to leave. I don’t know how to make it happen but it has to happen.

Its been said you can be boring or you can be bad... but you cant be boring and bad and continue in football. You can be boring and win or exciting but lose but boring and bad equals no one wanting to go to games or watch on tv. Something has to change but we cant buyout stoops. doing that could screw over NIL for Mark Pope and holy ish, we need to be really good in one sport at least.

Get lost

No We are not screwing over basketball to buyout the best coach UK football has ever had here (Bryant was better but didnt stay long enough to have the most wins) Luckily Stoops looks as done and ready to leave as Calipari last year.

You are a football only fan arent you? I dont understand how UK football fans dont find UK basketball fun .. well in most years in our history anyways.

Yes, and if we have to. We have to

I think he's going to retire or leave based on how he was on the sidelines during a must win for a bowl game type game today. but if he doesnt, its going to be another year of Stoops. just gotta hope he prioritizes OL in the transfer portal then.
Because pulling in castoffs from other programs who hardly saw the field is going to fix our problems on the OL? Okay. That sounds like a great plan. Would bet my house it doesn't work next year or any other year.

What defines him as the best? Cause he’s been here the longest and has the most wins? He also has the most losses. He is an absolute joke of a coach.

You mean you started time in a nursing home in 1982 ? Jk you old timer … Go Cats

We aren’t paying 44 million to fire him. I said it in the game thread. There needs to a be a roster overall on offense. Particularly upfront. Got get a QB to compete with Brock and bring in 4-5 offensive linemen. Minimum. They have to fix the offense. It’s absolutely pathetic

I’m calling bullshit. We have 3 wins. Since 1982 (and including 1982) we have had 3 or fewer wins 9 times. At best, Stoops is TYPICAL for you. Not good. Not better than average. Stoops has 3 good season. Three. The rest have been absolutely normal for Kentucky. This season is officially bad, even by Kentucky’s standards.

I think he may retire or move on after this year and I'm finally fine with that. However, I'm not going to scream for his head the week his mother died. And a week when the team was decimated by injury.

Hard to fathom anyone being excited for more of this garbage. He did a lot of good here for sure and recruited at a level not seen ever at UK. But my god man he needs to be gone after this year.
According too bballcat he should be he is not the only one unbelievable the Titanic is sinking and they are still on board I have a neighbor like this too you know the "who else you Going to get " crowd 😉

And how, pray tell, do we do that? As FSU can attest, it's not cut and dried that when you go portal shopping that you end up with much.

Would I leave a good P4 program to get pummeled at UK? Or would I go to a contender in the B12 or MWC? Our QB choices will be someone buried on the depth chart at a bigger school or a kid who has done well at a lesser school that wants to step up in competition. That is, at best, a 50-50 proposition.

OL is probably even more of a gamble.

Part of me thinks he deserves the right to fix this mess. Another part of me thinks if he knew how he would've fixed it by now. Regardless of who the coach is, nothing improves until the OL is fixed, it currently doesn't allow any semblance of an offense to be created.
Why is he allowed to fix this mess he caused it what makes you think he can fix it I don't want to wait another year of being g everybody's biatch in the sec get with it man stoops has got to go

Uggh how are you going to overhaul a offense with a coach that wants to play grind ball where have you been the last 12 years to fix the problem you have to remove the top stoops has got to go

Mark Stoops ain't quitting mid season. But he will be done at the end of the season. One way or the other.
The only way he saves his job is to beat Tennessee or somehow beat Texas and pick up the Louisville win.
The chances are unlikely but he does have a track record of showing up when you don't think he will. Not counting this season done for a bowl game until it's done for a bowl game.

There is enough talent on this team especially on offense to turn this shit around in the next four games. It can be done. I'd advise you to switch the quarterback out after the Tennessee game. It might be your only chance.

Blonde did a song called Dreaming. Sounds like you are in that state of mind.

Hell he has had what...12 years to put a good offense together. I think that is plenty long enough. If he ain't done it by now he isn't gonna do it.

Stoops season has been really bad…but outside Bryant…he’s been easy second best

Only Curci is in the running…but he got probation for cheating

Brooks
Morris
Mumme
Curry
Claiborne

Yes, and he is one of the worst. I put him on ignore.

I dont care if you only like one sport but you lose the right to discuss any others then IMO. That little goof talks so much smack about the basketball program.

He actually thinks if we sucked at basketball n our history then UK football would have been alabama lol delusional.

Brooks and it’s easy. I’ve said before and I’ll say it again, I’m 32 and the best UK football team of my lifetime was the year we beat LSU, the eventual national champion. That game was no fluke, we were that good. Injuries ruined that season.

You’re not gonna corner me and make me admit Stoops is a good coach. He sucks.
