AI has plenty to say about global warming and climate change. A simple google search for AI on the topic will yield an incredible number of hits, presenting confirmation, forecasts and possible solutions. To my view, that is not a surprise, as it essentially mines the data out there. However, it probably goes without saying, AI can be artificially unintelligent, too ... or more simply, wrong or inaccurate. Still, I find it interesting, if nothing else, to see what AI says about global warming and climate change.
"Yes, AI can be wrong; it is not infallible and can make mistakes because it relies on data patterns, which can be incomplete or biased, leading to inaccurate predictions or outputs in certain situations."
“AI is a powerful tool that can easily be misused. In general, AI and learning algorithms extrapolate from the data they are given. If the designers do not provide representative data, the resulting AI systems become biased and unfair."
"AI can be wrong fairly often, with studies showing that even highly accurate AI systems can produce incorrect results in a significant portion of cases, sometimes reaching as high as 20% or more, depending on the complexity of the task and the quality of the data it's trained on; this is largely due to potential biases in the training data and the inherent limitations of AI in interpreting nuanced situations."
