Global Climate Changes

Cases are few, but are on the rise. There is a recent National Geographic article out, but you must be a subscriber. It discusses a rise in cases in Florida after the 2024 hurricanes. The uptick in rare, potentially fatal, diseases appears to be related to global warming events. Makes sense, because Florida only recently got warm.

Reports of infection are not limited to Florida:

"Vibrio vulnificus is found in warm coastal waters around the world. In the U.S., this includes southern Gulf Coast states. But rising ocean temperatures due to global warming are creating new habitats for this type of bacteria, which can now be found along the East Coast as far north as New York and Connecticut. A recent study noted that Vibrio vulnificus wound infections increased eightfold between 1988 and 2018 in the eastern U.S."

Anything else increased in this country the last 10 years besides the imaginary temperature.

If you want to see the real cause behind increases in certain infections, look no further than massive waves of illegal immigration. Of course that we're told is necessary due to climate change.

According to this piece, it is only very recently (since March 2023) that the oceans have really become something like a “hot tub” …

AI has plenty to say about global warming and climate change. A simple google search for AI on the topic will yield an incredible number of hits, presenting confirmation, forecasts and possible solutions. To my view, that is not a surprise, as it essentially mines the data out there. However, it probably goes without saying, AI can be artificially unintelligent, too ... or more simply, wrong or inaccurate. Still, I find it interesting, if nothing else, to see what AI says about global warming and climate change.

AI is a powerful tool that can easily be misused. In general, AI and learning algorithms extrapolate from the data they are given. If the designers do not provide representative data, the resulting AI systems become biased and unfair."
