i think newsom is a jerk, but it's not his fault for the winds. the lack of air support made it impossible to get planes (let alone copters) to deliver water to the mountains and hills that were burning (places where either fire trucks and pumps couldn't go). this put the eaton canyon fire out of control and now altadena has burned.
palisades fire is where the city water would have matter more.
these guys are always barking up the wrong tree. High winds and drought leads to wildfires. Wildfires are hard to contain
That's only .22° F higher (55.5 to 55.28) than it was 12 years ago. And only 1.2°F higher than it was 90 years ago in 1934.

yep, risks with having a high magnitude and density population in a desert. kinda the same issue with building a city below waterline in hurricane territory. I am hoping this is now going to allow LA to be rebuilt properly.

174 yeas is absolutely nothing when it comes to the age of the earth, especially when scientists know the earth has been too hot for polar ice caps far longer than it’s been cold enough for polar ice caps. In fact, we’re in a relatively cool time when looking at earth’s history. So telling me 2024 was the hottest year on record means very little to me.
And save it with prognostications coming true. Climate alarmists are routinely wrong, exceptionally wrong at times, and just keep pushing their point-of-no-return out to keep the climate change swindle going on.
I honestly hope you don’t believe everything you say, but if you do there’s little hope for you. Better stop using electricity and give up everything made with fossil fuels.

Drought was not an issue. Infrastructure is the issue.

We know it was warmer in during the Roman era and a good portion of medieval times. Of course that requires believing the science.

That blows past the benchmark established by the 2015 Paris Climate Accord, which sought to limit future warming to well below 2°C in the 21st century, with a preferred target no higher than 1.5°C. Doing so would help limit the impact of a hotter planet.

We don’t have to defer to smart people because they believe their hair is on fire and we can see they are bald.
I learn new things every day. For example, it can be dry in Mediterranean climates. And, Santa Ana winds blow numerous times a year. When conditions combine both, people who light fires can do great damage. And, finally, it helps to have access to water if you are a firefighter. Things I could have never before imagined.

Wow! First, it was big science on the take, and now it seems they have gotten to big Presbyterian.
This pretty much sums up why many turn their back on the climate agenda. As with Dr Clauser, the establishment is trying to silence them, but there are very strong arguments against CO2/manmade climate change that need to be studied. I doubt folks that "just believe that there are smart people who are on google that believe it, so I will believe it" (cough cough, GJ), are capable of actually giving thought to the idea's formed by Dr Clauser, but he isn't the first and definitely isn't the only one who doesn't agree, he just isn't allowed on google or other censored platforms so you actually have to find a different method of research and actually challenge the media/their scientists because it's been proven time and again that the media and many other political platforms or politicians will not tell you otherwise.

Hard for me to get there, when Carbon emissions trap heat beneath. So any carbon released into the atmosphere, will trap heat below it against the Earth. Thus, warming the planet.
What % of the atmosphere is CO2? 400ppm right?
This 400ppm is actually perfect for plant life, we are very, very long way off of it becoming harmful to humans, and there is no real solid scientific proof that CO2 is causing any type of green house impact. As in the linked document, there may be more of an impact due to cloud cover, which can ebb and flow over time, than CO2.
What are the symptoms of different levels of exposure?

One needs an Ivy League resume to understand that there’s nothing we can do to cut carbon emissions without China and India? Or to understand that a grand focus on climate did nothing to prepare LA for this event and likely made it worse?
Inflation impacts, population density, incredibly large overhead to from damage to insurance filing to construction is all through the roof which impacts those numbers. The storms aren't getting worse overall. 4 hurricanes this past year is about par for the course. The damage from the hurricane itself was less than expected. And before any "believers" try to pull NC out of their hat when it comes to damage, make sure to look back at the root cause of those rains. It was NOT the hurricane itself that resulted in the damage, it was a front that it tied to that fed it all the moisture which resulted in the damage in NC. Much like the wildfires raging in California. If there were precautions taken to limit the underbrush, it was have been much less, if any damage. If you don't maintain, this is the risk and it's been called out many times historically.
