Where are you seeing all these terrible reviews? 80% favorable critic score and 87% with the audience on RottenTomatoes.

I plan on checking it out.

It would be hard to beat the original. Trailers look kinda flat. I guess we shall see.

Well worth the price of admission.

I felt like i was comparing the 2 the whole time, which at first made me lean towards saying it wasn't any good. But, when i wasn't trying to put it up against one of my (easily) top 5 movies of all time, it stands on it's own very well.

My son and I saw it last week and we both liked it a lot. Not quite as good as the original, but a very good movie nonetheless.
