I'm going to take issue with "His mediocre period was his last 5 years". That would include 2003. Just to recap, the Cats 2003 season including the following:

A 32-4 record
SEC Champions
SEC Tournament Champions
First ever perfect SEC season by anyone. 16-0 regular season, 3-0 SEC Tournament run
A 26 game winning streak
Final AP Poll ranking of #1
Overall #1 seed for the NCAA Tournament
Elite Eight finish

If not the final pinnacle we desire, that's a long **** way from "mediocre"!
