Rupp has not had big big games besides SEC in a while. Glad to get these 2 even if exhibition games. Rupp Should be Rocking right before Halloween this year for sure.

Pope wants his team to get as good as possible as early as possible this year.
We might lose both of these games as I think Pope will use both to play all 14 or 15 guys. I think he will keep it close but will be putting in odd lineups and such just playing around.

I would expect the other coaches to do similar but you know each will tighten up towards the last 1/4 of the game trying to get a W (even one that does not count) in Rupp.

Just the second half
3 of 33?
😡😡🥵

We were winning at halftime with 3 fouls on Ewing as i recall

They roughed us up in the second half and UK shot impossibly awful
Having not watched that game in 40 years I can't recall exactly how everything transpired but I remember thinking at the time they had to have thrown the game because nobody could miss that badly.

I just remember from 84 Jim Masters in the first half was the hot hand, Hall pulled him (like he liked to do) and he never got back on the scoring streak again. Plus the way it was called in the 2nd half. I was also watching as 1 of only 2 fans wearing UK blue that day in the house I was invited). Did not even know the rest of that house was Georgetown fans. We stayed the whole time had good food and such but what a bummer of a game.

I asked this in another thread but does playing high profile exhibition opponents mean we will play road exhibitions sometimes?

We have Georgetown and Purdue coming to town this exhibition season. Do we have to return a visit to them n 2026?

Exact same here

Also - i think you and i may know each other
We once determined that were from the same town / same age

I'm like B+ sure that's all true

Yeah I think so.

I'm a Bell County boy.

Cruised 30th street. Hung out at Devil's Garden pool. Went my freshman year at the old Bell High. Made beer runs to Harrogate. Saturday nights at the original Pizza Hut. Hitting the Oasis.

All the things that made Bell County great in the 70s and 80s

I was there. Took the Empire Builder to Seattle. That’s another story!

Traumatic. As poor as we played we were still in it to the end.

I kept yelling at Joe B to put Troy McKinley in and give him a couple shots. Shooter.

They aren’t that bad at all. They got KJ Lewis and Langston Love from the portal and still have Malik Mack. That’s a good backcourt.

They still really need some bigs though. Providence ‘stealing’ Duncan Powell from them and Sorber going went pro really hurt the frontcourt.
18-16 last year and .400 in their conference. It was better than the previous 4-5 years but that wouldn't put them in the good category for me. Their coach is ok every 6 years or so but disappears often.

Good or bad, it will be Division one athletes and against a good coach. We have 2 games (Purdue and GTown) to play all of our guys, try out line ups, really see where we are as a team (we I Mean collective we Coach's and fans). Ready to get thing going now. Will be a long summer waiting on the start of the year. MIDNIGHT MADNESS come back this year? Will we see a Blue White game, or blue white grey teams (lol) we just need 1 more guy.

I haven't seen anything about Cal and KU playing again this year after last year. They aren't set up for multiple years since it's not a full blown game. We only have home games, because we are UK, so I believe we'll only have home games. If someone doesn't want to come to KY, we'll go to the next big program that will. I could be wrong but this is what I believe will happen
