I have tried to not believe this. I’m guilty of willful blindness.
What I’m opening my eyes to is a very well coached team that plays hard but just lacks overall talent.
They are fun to watch and I think they will do us proud.
We will shock some teams.
With 10 mins left in that game, we had a 6.5% chance of winning.
I'd say for a large part of that game we weren't winning it. And we didn't play particularly well until the end.
It's just weird. I mean I know most of us agree. There's a lack of talent on this team.
Yet.....outside of the OSU game for the most part we usually meet or exceed what we are expected to do in these games lol.
So maybe we aren't so bad.
According to this announcer, it's "Away". You'd think he'd figure out the correct way to pronounce his name given the UK announcer is saying it every 2 minutes. "O-way".
If nothing else, hopefully this game provides them confidence and allow them to relax.
That's my hope. Pope's coaching and system can mask the talent issues.. Just like Cal could mask talent-greatness lolol.
Defense has been solid. It's the rebounding and lack of fluidity on offense that are driving me crazy this game. Second half rebounding has been better so far though.
What do you not understand about the fact we were playing Duke? Surely you are not trying to draw a parallel between these two games.

There is no parallel between the two games.
We are killing this team. We are doing exactly what the last good team Brown face (KU) did to them. We are doing exactly what we should be doing and people somehow think this is a sign we'll struggle in SEC.
