We just never get many of those years when our offense and defense show up together in a big game like this. If our offense had been like some of our past teams, we would've won this game.

Stoops will claim a moral victory. He was lucky to play a buddy that basically plays the same as him but can do it with 4 and 5 star players and win when it counts.

Agreed. Had that play happened against us for Georgia, zero chance in hell that call gets overturned. Being on the wrong end of a review is all too often for us.

If the team is rolling, Stoops can ride that momentum – Mississippi State back in the day and LSU in 2018. If it's close, like... almost always are, we turtle up like a pecker in ice water. Stoops needed a pair of giant, tungsten balls in this game, and playing it safe there was ridiculous. Hell, I'd rather give Ray Ray a chance than give it back to UGA. Our defense was gassed.
In addition to punting late in the 4th quarter.. The decision to go away from running the ball before which was working, and go to the passing game which was not there all night was a dumb decision too.

UK football is the Noel Gugliemi of college football. Had some moments where you thought, "That guy's going to make it big", only to basically play the same character in every single movie he's ever been in.
Going for the 3 was the right call there. You take those points because there's a lot of game left and it's a slug fest.

Exactly. If there wasn't enough reason to call the targeting in the first half with the helmet to helmet shot against DSK, there clearly wasn't enough to overturn the TD. No one on tbe field thought he didn't get his hands under the ball, and if he caught it they wouldn't have overturned the catch. Complete horsesht even though that alone didn't cost us this game.
