This isn’t on white. Stoops owns this defense he has called the same prevent D under multiple D coordinators.
That no-pressure defense at the end was awful, but Leary was the full spectrum of bad to good today. He had all sorts of opportunities and just hurt the Cats more than he helped.
The game was lost because of the stupid decision to go prevent defense. The only thing it does is prevent the team that uses it from winning.
Leave it to Stoops to pull defeat from the jaws of victory.

It didn't help but we had the lead until that soft defense gave it away.
Leary ends his UK one-year career with an over-thrown pass and interception. Karma and just so poetic. Coaches all suck. Stoops wanted to leave for Texas AM but assistants would not go with him leaving him looking like the fool he is. Program is in shambles with Stoops and at this point I would not be surprised to see his tenure here to begin to unravel.
