watching a (disgusting) replay of a game.

The new phrase is "will to win", repeated about ten times. Has nothing to do with the other QB throwing a ten foot pass a few inches short or the runner being stopped six inches from the goal line, you just have to have that "will to win".

And in case you are wondering the phrase it replaced is "winners in life".

Sorry if I misquoted either one, but neither were worth looking up to make sure I had it right.

Stand by for an update, I am sure to have a new "least favorite phrase" by the next game or two.

Count me in. Any trite phrase sportscasters, or journalists, overuse and abuse in order to avoid having to come up with original thought/descriptions/etc bug the hell out of me. There are a select few who can pull it off and still seem like the consummate professional, but most just seem like they're pulling phrases straight from a page of the lazy broadcasting playbook.

I hate the phrase, "________ just wanted it more". How in the world do you know that? Has a team every wanted it more than a team that won? Or does every team that wins just "want it more".

As to the OP, and responses, you posters are giving 110% on this subject . . . . I realize all of you put your socks on one at a time, . . . .but some of you have gone the extra mile . . . . and have become champions of posting.

Now get back out there on that forum, and leave it all on the keyboard!

Hey Hack, you may not be the most athletic guy, but you
have a high forum IQ...

Doing my best Elvis . . . . Well, thank ya', thank ya' very much.

If I had had a 4.4 forty to go with a smart-arse attitude and an annoying voice, I'd still be pissin' 'em off in the NFL, or on sports talk radio.

The one I've hated for a long time and my son and I both still mock it.....

"He MAY OR MAY NOT play tonight." Um, thanks. lol

Is there such a thing as an ignorant microwave oven?

I'm trying to correctly stretch the metaphor, here.

Yes there are! Ignorant microwave ovens are ones who just didn't want it more than the other and just didn't have the will to win. With that being said ignorant microwave ovens just aren't champions of life.
