How in the hell does this guy still have a job? He was an assistant under Eric Wolford at Youngstown State and Director of Football OPs here. That qualifies you to coach in the SEC?

Are we paying too much for other assistants? Quality of the staff has declined.

Our secondary has had so many breakdowns since he's taken over the safeties. I mean yesterday, USCe had two wide open TD passes because of breakdowns AGAIN. We see it game after game and nothing ever changes.

He doesn't bring much recruiting wise either. He must be good buddies with Stoops to keep his job.

Hes such an enigma. We identify and recruit amazing talent at safety. They play great 90% of the time. Then inexplicably several times a season, we have massive busts on our deep zones.

Those massive busts completely erase all the other good things and should be the easiest part of his job.

College coaching is a buddy system. Once you get your foot in the door someone will make a phone call and land you a job somewhere whether you are capable or not..
There is no question that this is the case. Not only college coaching, but professional. Once in the club, unless you are jerk and difficult to work with, you have career employment.

He’s part of the hometown gang so he’s a made guy.

The first TD for USC was a zone bust by safeties.....I have no idea why we kept him other than Stoops fan boy crap.

One of those busted zones was the cb not carrying the wheel. At least from what i saw.

These two units constantly blow coverage and I don't get it.

I lost my concentration when I read the massive busts

We can no longer afford to play Lovett. He's mistakes for years are killing us. He continually blows coverages.
