Fox, Monk, Killeya-Jones, and Adebayo Named McDonald's All Americans

I think Kansas returns Mason, Graham, Bragg, and Diallo. Selden might even come back IMO. But even if he don't they're still top 5. I think they add Jarett Allen to pair with Bragg, and Diallo in the frontcourt that's a really good frontcourt. Then Mason and Graham at guard and then they probably get Josh Jackson too. But again if not their still top 5 because Svi or Green could step in and play the 3. As for UNC I figure they return Meeks, Pinson, Berry, and Hicks. And I think they'll get Alkins. UCLA is going to be loaded . Bad coach or no. And Michigan St probably returns Davis
A lot is still to be decided by the remaining 5 star guys and I have no special information but I disagree with a couple of your predictions. Jarett Allen is trending toward Houston because he really likes UK and Kansas but Bolden is the priority for both schools. Josh Jackson is assumed to be either a Michigan State or Arizona lean. Kansas isn't mentioned with him very much at all lately. It does appear Azubuike is down to UNC and Kansas which will be big. If UNC adds Azubuike and Alkins then they are a top 10 team no question even if they lost Jackson and Meeks. But after Simmons commitment Arizona is now going full throttle after Alkins. LSU is loaded this year but Johnny Jones is the worst coach in the SEC so coaching matters. Finally Bolden is a HUGE piece because not only does he alleviate UK's biggest hole for next year (post scoring) but we would be taking him away from Duke our biggest title threat next year who also needs another big man for next year. It's like a chess board and there are still too many pieces still left in play to accurately predict some things. But it's still fun to talk about right now thanks for the conversation!

are the new NCAA draft entree rules for this year ? If so, Bragg , Diallo and Selden will enter the draft, work out for teams and they gone.
Yeah these new rules make it MUCH harder for the Izzo's, Self's and Roy Williams of the world to cut players minutes and hide them from the NBA for an extra year! What Self is doing to Diallo and Bragg right now is criminal! Diallo has really struggled but Jamari Traylor is not any better and Bragg has played really well but is stuck behind Ellis who is getting Tyler Ullis minutes.

Just going by what's happened recently -- some recruiting experts are saying Saint John's is picking up steam for Alkins -- and can't count Maryland out -- or even overseas for Josh Jackson. You're right about Allen and Houston. Selfishly -- we need to hope it all falls like that so we have fewer threats next season.

I don't see any way Alkins goes to St Johns or Allen goes to Houston. We'll probably get Bolden soon so Kansas IMO will get Allen. As for Alkins. I would guess UNC. Its his best option. don't know why he'd wanna go to NCST. And yeah I just seen today where Josh Jackson was supposed to be down to Arizona and Michigan St. In that case he'll go to Arizona. Michigan St is already crowded at the 3-4 positions with Bridges, Langford, and Harris. Not to mention McQuaid who I think will be really good for them off the bench next year.

This year is a weak draft class. Those guys should leave. If not they run the risk of being pushed further down the list behind guys like Tatum, Giles, Fox, Monk, Bam, Jackson, Bridges, Gabriel, Smith, etc. The '16 recruiting class is loaded. Those guys are better than most of the guys playing college ball right now not named Ben Simmons. Some will leave for the simple fact that the competition to get drafted gets ramped up several notches in '17.

I think a lot will still come back though. And it will make college basketball that much better

Make no mistake about it...all five stars are not created equal.

Correct. There is a pretty big difference between a 5 star in the top 5 and one ranked between 15 and 25. The top 5 guys are generally OAD types, expecting to be lottery picks in the next draft. Guys in that bottom range of 5 star prospects tend to be good players that contribute over multiple years and maybe first rounders.

Good post. Any marginal prospect in college should come out this year. Incredibly weak draft. Next years' draft likely to be loaded.
