Four-star defensive end Emmit Gooden of Brownsville (Tenn.) Haywood just informed me that Kentucky is one of the schools he will visit this fall for a game. He also wants to visit LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Alabama.
He's ranked the No. 203 player in the class and the Cats have made a strong push of late, now to the point of being a legitimate contender. I know Gooden pretty well from talking to him a lot over course of many months. I know LSU is a school that really likes him a lot. He's been there several times. John Chavis, formerly of LSU and now at A&M, is still someone he's got a good relationship with, too.
