Fort Scott C.C. defensive tackle Alexis Johnson
is an elite prospect at the junior college level for the 2016 class.
The 6-foot-4, 295 pound lineman is a handful in the middle, forming a
strong front four for his junior college squad this year, that also
consists of Koron Crump.

Three offers have already come Johnson's way before college programs have had a chance to arrive for spring football. Utah State have already extended scholarships his way.

"Everyone is standing out so far," Johnson said. "Everyone is even
still. It's too early to be able to separate anyone from the rest. I'm
just going to focus on spring football and take care of all of that
later on."

The Wildcats are in constant contact with the southeastern native.

"I speak with Kentucky everyday," Johnson shared. "They keep up with me a
lot and love my ability. They think I'm the type of defensive tackle
that dominates the SEC every year. They've been making sure that I
continue to work hard on my schoolwork. They love what I can do on the
field."

Kentucky has a lot to offer according to the junior college standout.

"They are from the SEC," Johnson stated. "It's a great conference for
football. It gives me an opportunity to go back close to home to play.
Everyone I know would be able to see me play. They also have two
defensive linemen that will be getting drafted in the NFL this year.
That's a great thing to know because I want to play at the highest level
and they can help me get there.
