We are going to end up getting 4 solid transfers to go with our 3 freshman and 5 returnees. I expect a lot of these threads in the next three months.

Either way, I except our team to go a legit 10-12 deep next year. More talent and depth than this year.

The other point is that it may often be the case that UK didn't actually miss on a player, and it was instead a situation where we fans would like to see them get a certain player but Pope and the staff never thought he was the right fit. Being able to map out how players fit together is one of the most impressive things about Pope's approach and ability.

Dix staying at Iowa makes sense. McCollum needs him and it'll be fun to watch him attempt to play defense. He's terrible defensively. He also would struggle being defended by SEC athletes. Fran McCaffery sacrificed defense to score which he had to do with the roster he built-so they tried to outscore people every game. Most coaches are going to demand their wings play defense and it's why Iowa missed the last 2 NCAA Tournaments and their coach was fired.

Good offensive player but this isn't someone I view near the Brea category of an offensive weapon.

Hope UK lands some shooters like Dix. As Brea demonstrated against IL, they can take the game & determine the outcome.

I'm thinking agents put out rumors to up the ask price! If I remember correctly Pope ended up saying he doesn't reveal who they are going after. Ever time he did other schools jumped in and blew it up!
It almost to the point if I hear ky, I write them off!

I think he is entering the portal there no way he stays and plays for Chris Mack. He is one I want pope to go all out to get. but it looks like Kentucky is going heavily after the Thomas kid from UNLV for the PG spot.

Wanted to read replies before I commented. I 100% agree I absolutely do not want him. Awful defensive player. I'd take him if he's the 11th man but honestly we don't need anymore guys that can't defend SEC athletes. We need to get guys that can defend and score.

You have to error on the side of scoting if it either or. The scorers and defenders that are available will have a flaw.
