Apparently this was for things that happened in the 21 & 22 seasons which was pre NIL I guess. Who knows? It's the NCAA and they do what they want, when they want and to whom they want.
To be fair, forcing kids to watch the Giants seems like cruel and unusual punishment and probably should come with some penalties.

The violations were in 22 & 23 seasons and NIL officially started in 2021 but not to the same degree they are now. The sanctions were handed out last week.
NCAA at work. They need to justify somehow withhelding over 40% of the over billion March Madness tv rights revenue. They are doing an outstanding job for 400 million…I think any law or audit firm would want their business model…⚖️

It's OK for North Carolina for over 2 decades to put their players in classes that a 5 year old kid could pass & for Duke years before NIL came along to put the families of 5-Star recruits in $million dollar homes. But how dare Fordham would do this.
