For Cal.....the clock is ticking.

This is absolutely, positively a fact. The great players were great when they got here, and they were great when they left ... but I can count on one hand the players who actually became significantly better players while they were here playing under Calipari. Then there are those who became significantly better players after they transferred to play college ball elsewhere, and then there ard those who became much better NBA players than they were at UK - after they got some NBA coaching. Alas.

I agree mostly with the last 4, not sure about the first 5. I always thought Jorts had the game to play (even under Gillispie) and Cal's hand was forced due to Kanter (or Cal would have never played him). Miller, Liggins, Dom, Willis all got incrementally better mostly due to age, IMHO.

As I said earlier, it’s not over till it’s over. Now that we got CJ, we’re going to get TyTy on the 15th, then we’ll be rolling again, and back on top where we belong. So, the clock isn’t ticking, and it never was.

Are you saying these guys improved?

WCS is still to this day one of the worst offensive bugs we’ve had. Never saw much of a difference at all in him. And Cals passive and casual attitude rubbed off on WCS, which is why he disappeared and didn’t care. Nothing matters to Calipari. He’s above caring and so are his players.

Nick Richards might have improved, but he’s one of the most rafters overrated players of all time. Against real competition, he folded. People just didn’t want to see it.

Derek? Man, if there was improvement it was only because there’s nowhere to go but up.

Liggins yes, he needed whatever Calipari gave him. He intended to play for Calipari at Memphis and G stole him away. Yes, the pop-tart coach was able to take Cals recruit.

IQ was a badass had nothing to do with Calipari. He was just able to hit shots which most of Cals players can’t.

Miller - Nah. Miller was Miller. Don’t know of anything Calipari did to change him.

Jorts - sure, but how much of his turnaround was Cal who knows. He was a gamer and wasn’t enamored with the NBA. And Cal only kept him because back in those days he needed the ring. Today, Jorts is only recruited if we strike out on guys like Vanderbilt.

Cal wanted Jorts and Miller to transfer. What he doesn’t realize is those two got him a ring and 2 final fours.

Yeah, things are already ugly, but the buyout $$$$ is too high. Expect Cal to retire on the job and laugh at BBN on the way to the bank each payday. He has got all of the leverage.
Find him doing something wrong and he has o leverage. Can’t he be brought up on morals clause for single handed destroyed UKs tradition.
