I went to the site for the first time in a while and it is pretty much football. What is the complaint?

It's free. If you don't like it, don't listen. Seems pretty simple to me. I love what he provides. Do I wish there were more football? Sure. But it's free, so I'm fine with it.
And personally I love the irreverence. Again, if it's not your cup of tea, don't listen, and stop whining.

Matt Jones is the new Marc Maggard. Haters gonna hate. He is far from perfect but I enjoy his show on occasion.
As an older fan I just enjoy whatever I get now. I remember a time when you never heard about football commits and only heard of a basketball commit a week later in the paper.
Funny how you think it okay for you to come here talk about how you love it, but when people offer a differing opinion, its whining. ("Funny" as is odd and ridiculous). I think my problem is that Matt clearly loves Matt. I just do not share that feeling. But, I know some listeners do.
The difference, caveman, is I don't come here to complain about things that I can walk away from. If you like to complain, have at it, but I'm going to think you're a whiner.
And Matt does love Matt. So what? We're not going to change that, so stop listening if it bothers you that much.

I really have no opinion on Matt or KSR. I've rarely listened or visited the site, but yea I remember those days to. In comparison we are now bombarded with information on both programs on a multitude of web sites and other media. A person could live in outer Mongolia, and be on top of daily events for either.
I thought it was against policy to link or mention a competing site.

I just went to the site and the first 6 stories are all basketball. half way down the page they mention Football. Matt knows that this is a basketball state and football is second here. He's a poser!

Matt makes most of his pay hating on Louisville. It's his schtick, face it. His basketball knowledge is worse than average and his football knowledge less by exponential degrees than that. But folks like filling their days with radio. He has a gimmick that pays him.
Well im sure they were tired of being bashed on a daily basis. Still doesnt take away that they are fairly ignorant on football, besides Freddie. Its obvious our nagging had an affect, for now.

And i still disagree with you, ive been seeing a good amount of basketball. My point that some of you fail to process in your heads are that its football season. They should be almost alllllll football. Not even half, which i idont believe they are even half at this point. Basketball is still dominating their stories. Pointing out a big football day where they have common sense stories because ita fan day doesnt change the factual lack of football coverage and knowledge. Freddie is an exception.
Matt Jones is a UK basketball fan. Period. He's not a journalist and he acts like he likes football every once in a while to appease the basketball fans who also want some football news.
He is what he is. That's why I don't visit the site, no longer follow him on twitter, and don't listen to the radio show (I'm assuming there is a radio show). A large part of the state apparently loves him, because they are basketball fans and prefer to listen to another fan talk about basketball. Even a few weeks before the start of football season.

Maybe because they don't have 8 national championships in basketball? Just a guess.
Yeah, someone on a b-ball board thread was bitching about their being too much football on the site now. I was glad to see everyone jump on him and say "well ya know..it's football season and football is a pretty big deal regionally/nationally" but yeah, they are never going to go away significantly from basketball when it gets them the most clicks/views. That is just common sense.
You think way to much of yourself and "your" program...Check in with zippy every now and then. You two should get along just fine
