I've said this in other threads but if I could make one change to the way the game is officiated it would be to go hard against flopping. If a player flops, it's an intentional foul. If a player gets fouled but flops to embellish, the fouls offset and the non-flopper's team gets possession. It's game changing.
Criminal that they don't review it, cancel the points and assess a foul on the POS that flopped. It's gotten so bad that the flopper laughs when they get away with it.
The foul on three pointers where the defender is "in the landing space" is asinine, because it's totally unevenly called. Does the rule specifically say this only applies on three point shots? Because I have never seen them call it on a midrange, and it would be impossible to call it on a drive or post up because EVERYONE is in each other's space down around the basket. An offense could be completely predicated on running guys around screens to get the defender behind or beside them, then fading on the shot into the defender and they would be in their landing space every time. There has got to be a better way to protect the shooter.
