Flagg committed another Flagg

They have no game ending strategy other than iso for a freshman, but neither freshman seems ready for that just yet. Tons of potential though. Hopefully Duke fans can enjoy their NBA highlights when they are ready for those moments 3 or 4 years from now. Scheyer can even brag about how much money they’re making then.

With under a minute in close Kansas game Shyler again went with Flagg making a low post spin move and it got stripped and stolen. Next play down the court they try Nipple in the same low post one on one spin move and that got stripped and stolen. I thought Dookies were supposed to be smarter than that.
I swear it’s almost like Calipari drawing up these potential game winning plays. “Now you take the ball down and drive, make sure you spin to the same side as last time…”

As others have said it’s because they have no real PG. Proctor is a very good player but he’s a shooting guard playing point. They can manufacture a play when needed because they don’t have someone to run it at this time. Every team knows Flagg will get the ball and he relies on that one spin move.

God, can we please keep trying to make the Nipple nickname a thing? Lol.

I want this kid to go to the NBA and fans will be like "OH that's Kon Nipple! The guy that just jacked up a bunch of bricks for 3s at Duke"

Nah, you can't game plan for him, didn't you hear?

And Dickerson had been ejected, game was tied, and still Duke couldn't push it over the line. This one has got to burn Duke fans as much as our game and get them and ESPN going brain-crazy for answers for this so called best Duke team in ten years.

I don’t fault Scheyer or Flagg too much for the Flagg stuff. But wt# is up with Knipple? Played like trash all night, just like in every game. Last meaningful play, the call is to give it to Knipple so he can dribble into traffic and cough up the ball. Last desperation play with 2.9 seconds on the clock? Have Knipple launch up a prayer from deep. He’s only missed seven out of seven threes up to that point in the game. What could go wrong?

Total Cal move.

I mean the coach is Jon Sheyer. It's been expected and overdue.
I hope they fall on their face. Missteps can hurt freshman confidence.
Dukes shooter was o for 8 from 3. Including the game tying shot.
If He's not confident Duke is in big trouble.
That ain't even including flag into the problem.

Duke doesn't have a true point guard and certainly doesn't have a quick point guard that can guard somebody. Every person on their team 6'5" or above. That's a 100% true stat

Yeah, I'd say that's the biggest issue for them at the end of games. It's an iso for someone and so far it's been an iso for one of those freshmen. Flagg obviously has talent but he also has nerves at the end of games. He fumbled another ball near the end. Then they tried Kneuppel on the last play and he ran right into the paint and into a bigger Kansas defender and couldn't even get a shot off. I don't want to make any suggestions because I don't want to help them, but it's clear those guys are not your playmakers. They should give the ball to a ball handler and let him make a play, draw the defense, and then kick it to one of those freshmen for a shot. I think they would at least get a shot every time that way.

That is exactly how I felt watching it. Like Cal drew that play up.
