Lipscomb is a solid basketball team. They'll do good in conference play.

Man, I'm trying not to get my hopes that high, but it's getting hard not to.
I was very impressed again with their PF I now call baby Flagg , against Arkansas and against us, I wish the NCAA would push the 5th year thing in the spring so that we can try and get him to come here for his 5th year lol
Yeah, I always love hearing from opposing coaches because these guys know the game. And as I said in a couple other posts... this Lipscomb team is well coached. They run good offense and the play hard-nosed defense. Scoring nearly 100 and winning by 30 against those guys is impressive. I loved that we didn't have a letdown. I love Pope's attitude about not allowing a letdown. He doesn't even talk about it. He just coaches his guys about what they're planning to do, not what they are afraid could happen. His answer to that question was excellent.
Credit to coach here. They didn't ask him anything at all about his own team. He knows the deal when you're on the road at a Power 4 school. Classy to just play the role.
I'd be absolutely okay with a permanent 5th year of college eligibility. I think it would really help a coach like Pope, who seems to want to make freshmen supplemental and veteran transfers primary in his system.
Plus, he moved so quick and decisively in the portal that I think Pope loading up each year in the Spring will be an annual event.
