Making my first trip to Rupp/Lexington in two weeks for the Tennessee game with college roommates. Would love some recommendations on where to go, what to do, etc.

We've been to Duke and Kansas before. Looking forward to seeing Big Blue.

Thank you.

Just hang in the Broadway & Short St area. You're 2-3 blocks from Rupp & there are plenty of bars/restaurants to keep you happy.

Venture into the lobby of the Hyatt for a drink before the game (attached to Rupp.) You'll be amazed by the electric atmosphere.

Have fun & welcome in advance to the Bluegrass.

Don't go in the basement. It is musty as hell down there.

Also, keep an eye out for my blue ribbon from the 1990 county science fair. It's bound to turn up eventually.

Not sure how much time you will be in town but you could drive out to Keeneland, walk around campus, or take a horse farm or bourbon tour.

If you are just in for the day I'd go eat somewhere around Rupp (Pies and Pints, Sawyers, Pazzo's) at say 4 and watch a game. Walk to Rupp at 530 and go in Hyatt bar area and drink with the big blue faithful until game time. There are also shops and a bar in the bottom of the Lexington Center if you so choose. I'd say you need at minimum of an hour and a half to enjoy the surroundings and fans in and around the Lexington center.

Cheer for the Wildcats to get a Win and then after the game hang around Rupp for Coach Cal to do his radio show.
