I watched this game last night. Lorenzen vs. Ragone. Ragone was chased, hit and sacked almost every play. Lorenzen was just OK.
My real point is how football officiating has changed over the past 20 years. In this game; Late hits on the QB were allowed. Tugging and grabbing of the WR jersey by DB was actually a penalty- now it is overlooked. Of course high hits were allowed.- no targeting. Ragone laid on the field at least 10 times never a stop in play for injury or forcing him out.
Also the announcers talked about Lorenzen and his weight the whole game. They called him fat and were borderline offensive to him. I don't think in 2024 the announcers would make such comments.
