Fantasy Football

It will be interesting to see how the Giants receivers like Nabors, Wan'Dale and RBs Tyrone Tracy & Devin Singletary will be affected by the QB change to Tommy Devito. I have Nabors and Tracy in some leagues. Robinson's top game with DeVito last year caught 6 passes for 79 yards, Slayton with 82 yards and a TD. Jalin Hyatt had 109 yards in a game. Jones obviously wasn't the answer. Doubt DeVito is either. We'll see if there is any marginal improvement from his rookie year. Tracy will probably get more carries but defenses likely load the box to limit his production. Could open the field up for the receivers. Still a terrible situation overall.
I'm glad the Giants at least tried to win a game but I'm hoping they don't tank the year for a good pick. I had hoped Nabers would have a good game since he was getting vocal about it. Hill is just hard to watch right now. Good night but teams are making Tua beat them underneath and just double teaming him and Wadell.

Carolina scoring too quick with 30 seconds left, was enough of an opening for my opponents to get a few more catches from Mike Evans, to beat me by less than half a point lol.

However, that league I'll lock up the #1 seed with a 1st round bye, and $50 for regular season champ, if one other team goes down tonight (which he's expected to).

My 12-team league I'm tied for 1st, but have so many players on byes next week, I'll probably fall to 2nd place. Should still get the 1st round bye though.

Work league I move to 1st place, with the worst I can do is fall to 2nd place. Getting the bye either way.

I'm pretty confident I'll land a few 3rd and 2nd places at worst, and hopefully can win one or two of these leagues.

The Giants are interesting. I think they're going to ultimately fire Daboll and I think thats the wrong move. But, I hate the Giants, so I hope they do it, and honestly hope the Jets grab him in some capacity.

There's some rumors swirling that Bezos might buy the Jets, or is at least showing interest. Hes now getting vegas odds as the front runner to do so. I think Woody has been so bad as an owner for so long, that us fans are starting to go after him as the problem.. and I think other billionaires are keeping an eye on the Jets.

All I want for Christmas is for him to sell the team and someone like Bezos, Musk or Cohen buys it. Build a stadium somewhere in Westchester or Long Island, and watch the Jets become an overnight success and their ROI would be huge.

Putting a claim in for Isaac Guerendo as any RB in Shanahan's offense will get volume. Looked good in the small sample size he has been given so far. In one league it won't matter at this point, but the current RB situation has Hunt who already lost work with the return of Pacheco. Kenneth Walker 10 points below his projection & Chuba Hubbard 16 points under plus a costly fumble. Both shit the bed this week as did James Conner for me the week before with 8 rushing yards earning 9.9 points mostly from his 5 receptions, 41 yards. I feel great about my chances in the two other leagues about winning it. The one above really taking that loss by 0.14 points in PPR to the #1 team 2 weeks ago was the last one my team could take with 1 week until playoffs as the teams battling for 3rd and 4th ahead of me play the worst teams in the league not even monitoring their team.

Yeah I think Isaac G is the pickup with the Byes this week AND RB injuries. In my 12-team I'm down JK Dobbins and Brob, and left with Bijan and his backup Allgeier and Gus Edwards.

Woke up today 1st in all 3 leagues heading into last week.. Locked up 1st place in one of them, 95% chance of 1st in another, and probably a 50% chance of holding 1st in the last. Byes in all 3.

But, I'll be without Daniels and Terry in ALL 3 leagues (and other byes), so I'm probably looks at some losses coming up.

Went on a pickup spree this week. I got Isaac G off waivers and then heard that Breece Hall was out. Picked up Allen and then heard Walker was out. Got Charbonet in my other league. I don't know if I'm lucky or other people have a life.

Those are the big 3 RB names for sure. Also keeping an eye on them.

Last place team but 100% of his FAAB on Isaac G, and he's literally out of the playoffs, so the rest of the league is passed.

Allen is a great pick, I think he's gonna be a beast in due time. But a little worried about Davis eating into his role this game.

And Charb, absolutely. Ken walker is out so Charb is a huge play.

Locked into Byes in all 3 leagues (one league there's a small chance I could land as the 3rd seed), at this point in the season, you have to be looking at defenses NOW. Not next week, and certainly not the week after. It's the only thing left that can be a 10-12pt swing for you.. grabbing a RB handcuff or that WR4 is almost for sure not going to win you anything, but defenses can.

I was very lucky Sunday having an all-time best day in my 15+ years of playing Fantasy Football. My 3rd team which has not been good all year and done the bare minimum to stay alive. Burned an early draft pick on Etienne who I dropped. Drafted other disappointments in Calvin Ridley and Keon Coleman. Injuries always factor in. Also some of my players saw their fantasy value impacted by their QBs hurt in the case of Tua or garbage QB situations in LV & NYG now down to Drew Lock. I had a 16% chance to make the playoffs going into the Week at 7-6. Been snakebit too taking losses by as few as 0.14 points to the #1 team. To even be in the equation for a playoff spot after all of that is crazy. Felt that if this team could get healthy, utilize the waiver wire along the way and stay in contention, it will have a shot to win it in the end.

The two teams ahead of me were tied at 8-5 taking the 3rd & 4th spots for the playoffs going into the week. Only one team did I have an outside shot at catching in overall Points Scored on the season if they were to lose this week. Trailing them nearly 80 Points For on the season going into Week 14 with them having 1619 to my 1542. My team has the 2nd fewest points allowed all year, only behind the team ranked 2nd in the league. The 8-5 team I could catch is losing this week is losing by 73 points and I beat them H2H this year though overall Points For gets the preference in a tiebreaker. That team has put up a measly 59 points as of now with Luke Schoonmaker being their only player left. Cowboys official site says Jake Ferguson has cleared concussion protocol and expected to play vs Cincinnati. Even if Ferguson were out or limited on MNF. Schoonmaker would have to get over 60 fantasy points with Cooper Rush throwing to him and Ferguson, along with the other receivers to be a non-factor.

The other 8-5 team I can't catch in total points is my opponent this week. Beating them this week 204.68 to 95.92 with their only player left being Ceedee Lamb.

Won the waiver claim for Guerendo, grabbed Charbonnet as soon as the alert went out on Kenneth Walker being downgraded. Same on Breece Hall and stashed Braelon Allen on the bench while starting him in another league. The performances by Josh Allen, Tyreek Hill, Charbonnet & Guerendo carried my team this week and thankfully no one was a bust.

In hindsight, I should have started Jaylen Waddle & Juaun Jennings over Myers and Giants QB mess for Nabers. Never been big on starting two WRs on the same team like Waddle & Hill in fantasy. Definitely not benching Tyreek Hill and was not going to let Jaylen Waddle stay on the waiver wire when someone got impatient and dropped him during Tua's injury. My bench TE Zach Ertz, RBs James Conner, Chuba Hubbard, Nick Chubb, Braelon Allen, IR Spot Kenneth Walker. My gut feeling was to roll with Zach & Isaac with the volume they would be getting. Zach may be a one game opportunity if Walker is back next week but the longshot paid off so far. Zach earned more work regardless of Walker's return. Wasn't even getting 10 touches before.

Always a good feeling when you have a week like that. As a KW3 owner in one league, I'm probably not starting him unless I have to for ROS.

Pretty proud of this. Regular season 1st place in all 3 leagues, which won me $70. I was highest scoring in 2 of the 3 leagues, and 2nd highest scoring in the 3rd. Not sure how playoffs will go, would like to think I can win one of these leagues at least. It's going to come down to how well Daniels/Terry play, because I have both in all 3 leagues. I wouldn't even say that they can WIN me a matchup (unless they do something like Josh Allen just did), but they can certainly hurt me if Jaden goes down. I think I might hedge my bets and play Bo Nix in the league I have him.

5-9. Missed the playoffs in my 10 man league. Scored the third most points, but gave up the most points, 121.9 more than any other team.

Our league averages about 130 points in a win, so I basically had an extra game of points scored against me this year.

I hate fantasy football.

I'm gonna plug my 2-part strategy here (that no one asked for):

1. You can't draft players on their back 9, and I'm going to include guys like Henry and maybe even Saquon, which sounds crazy cause of the great years they had.. but because guys like that (and more so Henry) only have a few years left. So you take someone like Henry or Keenan Allen, and you have to figure each of those guys probably has 3 years left max. So if you draft them (in this example), you're risking a 33% chance that THIS is the year they fall of/get injured. As opposed to a guy like Mclaurin who should (but we know, not always) have a good 5, 6 or 7 years left before that proverbial cliff comes. You should want to have the youngest team in the league, IMO. You want to draft guys who might feasibly be 2nd or 1st round picks next year.. and that's just not going to be anyone after the age of 28 or 29. I don't want guys like Keenan, Amari Cooper or Travis Kelce on my team, at least not unless they fall a considerable amount, which they won't. Same thing in basketball: I want sophomores, juniors, and 4th year guys. I'm like Leo Dicaprio: I want young rosters.

2. Grab your guys, even a round early. Make your rankings top to bottom and separate it by round. Identify some guys in every single round that you want. For example, Bowers is someone I wanted in round 10 or whatever, because I was maybe going to fade the TE spot. So on draft day, when round 9 rolls around, if you don't see the guys you identified in round 9? Go grab Bowers, reach into the next round. DONT take guys like Diontae or Jaylen Warren who might have fallen to you (if those are guys you didn't want). You cant get suckered into grabbing these guys that drop, go one round back and get the perceived best player from round 10. There is inevitably going to be gems in every round, guys who play 5 rounds better than where they were drafted.. find those guys.

I swear, sticking with these two rules is why I do so well. IMO.

Made the playoffs in all three of my leagues. Two are redraft and one dynasty. The dynasty one I have an okay shot but it is setup better for the next few years rather than today. I could still win but not seeing it. The other two is just hope and see. Riding with Baker in one and Nix in another. Really wanted the bye this week but couldn't win when I needed. If I get past this weekend everything looks so much better. But the guys I had Thursday night made it a tough one (Guerendo, Jennings and Kyren all in diff leagues with Kyren and Guerendo both in my dynasty). Good luck to all still playing

TNF guys really killed me too and so many who needed to bank on Jennings and Guerrendo. I was fortunate one of my opponents started Brock Purdy, 3.98 points in PPR and a goose egg for Cooper Kupp. My other 2 opponents both started Cooper Kupp as well and one had 9 points from Jake Moody. Nacua, Karty, Williams, Rams D/ST, Moody for SF were the only ones to walk away with a good fantasy score this week for what they are accustomed to putting up.

Kupp absolutely ruined people's seasons. I have him in my 12 team but had the bye. Still, in a 12 team there's not a whole lot of talent to go around. He's my 3rd pick and I'm already without Olave and JK..

I honestly might have to bench him and go with Terry and BTJ.. but i also don't think I have a chance to win without Kupp. I also suspect that Rams will swing the pendulum the other way and get him going next game. Divisional games are always tough anyways.

Kupp is one of those injury-prone players I pass in the fantasy draft every year. A productive player when healthy, but you can pencil him in to miss games every year.

I had the same thought. He kind of applies to my point above about players past their prime. But man 12 teams mess me up. When it's time to draft you're staring down a looooong wait time for the next pick. I figured with Kupp coming back from injury last year, he might pop back this year. Probably my one big mistake in fantasy, shouldn't have been suckered in.

I think you could probably get a top10 WR. A buddy of mine asked about a trade of JK Dobbins for Scary Terry, so we were discussing the value. Terry is 13th in total points for WR on the year, and 5th over the last 4 games (when him and Jaden started to click). I'd maybe see if you could trade CMC for Terry AND maybe another piece.

I believe there is some owner out there who would give you maybe his 3rd or 2nd best piece for CMC. Now it may not be a top10 WR, but it could be like Jaden Daniels, Kyren WIlliams type of talent.

Ended up keeping McCaffrey, but made playoffs anyway thanks to Josh Allen and the Denver defense. I was able to get Chase Brown of the Bengals early as a free agent, and he has offset the loss of McCaffrey. If Josh Allen has two more 40-50 point weeks, I'll be tough to beat.

QB-Allen
RB-Brown/Pollard/Etienne/Spears
WR-CSutton/Metcalf/DJMoore/JAddison/DeVSmith
TE-Ferguson/Pitts (weak, lost Goedert to injury)
K-SF
D-Denver (they've won me a couple games)

Im like;y facing Josh Allen in 2 of 3 leagues next week for the semis and I am VERY worried. He also plays the Patriots, so I think he has a good 25-30pt floor, but he could put up 50pts on New England if he is allowed to.. My only hope is that the Bills stomp on New England early, and pull Josh Allen.. or possibly, not even really lean heavily on his heroics and TD rushing because they really don't need it.

I've made Allen my priority target in Round 3 the last several years. Because I had the overall #1, I got him with my turn around pick at #21. I took Etienne at #20, so wiffed on my first two picks and still made the playoffs.

So it's funny, I was talking to other league mates about Josh Allen in next years draft. Where as before, he was sort of in that tier 1 grouping of him/Jackson/Hurts/Mahomes.. I think he's now his own tier.. and honestly, I'd even consider taking him at the end of round 2. I think he has really come into his own to lead the team. He was always incredibly talented, but sometimes a little careless.. but he's fixed a lot of that, fixed the turnovers, makes the right plays, AND he's proving he can do this without a star receiver, which means he's basically "weapon-proof", in the sense that it almost doesn't matter who he has.

I also had the lowest points against in the league for the first part of the season, which helped me stay alive. No control over that. The fantasy football gods still owe me a championship from the year the guy almost died on the field. I had Allen and Singletary of the Bills, opponent had no one left, and I only needed about 14 total points. Then that happened in the first quarter of the championship round, and they called off the game and couldn't make it up.
