Fabulous !!! Kudos to WKU !!!

WKU are right up there with Oregon. They absolutely run the uniform game. They have so many color combinations and uniform creativity. The helmets they did with the picture of the mascot and position the player plays was brilliant. They rocked the Chrome helmets before they was a big thing. WKU is on top of the uniform game, pioneering several first with them. Brilliant marketing. I have season tickets and love the game day atmosphere at WKU. They are not a 100k stadium, but they rock with what they have. Proud of the program, it is great for residents of BG to have the WKU teams to follow. Add the Hotrods baseball team and local high school football, the city absolutely rocks for a town of its size from a sports standpoint.
Now if we could just help the homeless situation and the people begging for money on every corner at stoplights, it would be even better. You wouldn't think a city of 65-70K people would have as many homeless people, the city government really needs to focus on ways to help them.

Sad to say but that homeless/drug problem/panhandlers is most every city in America now.

I live in B.G. The thing I do not understand about WKU is their hatred toward the University of Kentucky. They absolutely love it when Kentucky gets beat. Their fans make it hard for me to support the WKU program and I have lived in B.G. all my life and graduated from WKU. Their coaches have even harassed UK fans in the past for wearing UK apparel on campus.

Partly because they have always blamed Rupp and Kentucky for getting their FF vacated.

WKU was UofL before UofL. Huge little brother syndrome.

Louisville has little brother syndrome, WKU has baby brother syndrome. They also tend to side with Louisville. Which I find odd also. Not all WKU fans, but a lot of them.

That makes sense, because most of the WKU fans are huge UofL fans too.
I did not see your post until I posted the exact same thing. I live in BG also, and find it very odd. Mostly with students, It is a envy thing.

I’m just too damn old, and too damn old school.

I just can’t give much thought to uniforms and colors.

My honest first impression of WKU’s helmets?

“That shade of red would help hide fresh blood stains.”
