A broken hand puts you out for an entire season? Must be something more than 'just' a break, right? I mean, I've always heard 6, maybe 8 weeks to fully heal a broken bone. Is there something else going on that isn't widely known? It's been, what, 4 weeks already. How many players in the past have played with a cast - several that I can recall. If there's nerve damage or they had to insert multiple pins, then, okay, it could be that serious. But, there hasn't been, up until now, any hint that this was anything other than a run-of-the-mill break.
Thought he was cleared to play? Did he make a statement? We need him if he is available, if not, can he redshirt?
I have NO information as to Chip's injury.
But there are hand injuries that can take a long time and can be problematic. A scaphoid fracture for example can take 3-4 months to heal due to poor blood supply......and in rare instances can start to die on it's own due to poor blood supply.
At first it was reported he would miss least two games, maybe three. Now it’s not known and may be longer. I was anxious to see him play and now it might not happen at all. It’s frustrating and all to common with Kentucky and their injury situations. On the flip side it’s been great to see Patterson and Wilcox get playing time and both are impressive as is Demi.
Back when it happened we were told he would miss 1-2 games. Does he have more than one year of eligibility left? can he return next year?
Edit: looked it up. He played in the shortened 2020 season as a true Freshman, so he qualifies for that extra year. He could take a redshirt year and come back next year if he wants. possibly even get two more years?

Now if he Redshirts and comes back stronger that could be a good thing for next season. Plus we have some up and coming Studs at the RB position.
He was cleared. My hope is they dont want to disrupt our rotation and will use the bye to get him back in the mix. Then use vandy to get him more up to speed.
Im sticking with my prediction of him being middle of the road for us. I don't view it as a big loss other than short yardage because we have a few guys that like to dance too much on 3rd and short.
We will be playing the good guys role wearing all white with blue trim. I would show all the predictions against us. It is like we have a 10% chance to win.
