Extremely dangerous team we are!

Master Yoda loves this team's shooting ability.

It was devastatingly efficient to my eyes. I mean, I've seen few games this efficiently played. They looked like a veteran team that's played for YEARS out there.

nothing rushed.
patient.
unselfish. paid attention to the scouting report.
played confidently
nothing wasted on almost any play.

withy the exception of those plays that just kinda "flubbed up" - it was as perfect as could possibly be fortold.

And nothing is perfect. But it is definitely a feel good win and a great start to the new era. If we aren't pumped by now, then I don't know what can pump us all up !

I haven't been this excited for Kentucky basketball in a at least 15 years.... maybe more ? A long time. So happy for the guys.

I Believe !

So far this team didn’t see any adversity . Before the Duke game there is another game , Bucknell. We should concentrate on the next opponent and keep improving: Rebounding, stop trying to be cute finish layups, keep workin* on offensive reads ( missed few ones today where we turn the ball over or clock expired) and of course defense.

Even if we do lose to Duke, the game will be competitive all the way. Tonight what I liked is that we respected the opponent, and we never let up. I feel we will see that every single game

This is only the first real game for these guy's as a team... Think about that, this team could grow into one of the top teams for this year... If they can keep getting better and better from each game think how good they can be...

Not just because of the 3-point shooting, but because of the interior passing, and weakside scoring. There really didn't seem to be too many drop-offs in intensity, regardless of who was out on the court. Duke better bring their A game! 30 assists and 41 rebounds :D

Great witty post good job 👏 noch

Besides the 3 Point shooting, the bigs ability to pass, and weakside scoring, I think the defensive pressure Butler and Oweh put on the other teams' guards. If this team makes a long run that defensive pressure will be a major factor.

Pressure on the ball without having to the first piece to any good defensive team. It can completely take a good offensive team out of their comforte zone. If you have a guy that can turn their point guard sideways and to where their first worry is protecting the ball you've got something . . .we've got a couple of those.

The offense is great and all, but I was impressed with how solid our team defense was for game 1.

Helping, rotating, switching, communicating, changing defensive looks - it was all there. After spending the better part of 15 years watching teams that couldn't guard a pick and roll in March, that was refreshing.

I took the under last night thinking once we were up 30ish we would slow things down. We didn’t. Hell even the bench players came in like the other team owed them money. Aggressive! Loved it. Won’t be taking the under again.
Enjoyed that game to the buzzer.
