Keep seeing ESPN with the Green Room hype-- usually upon frosh. This tells me that college basketball viewership is "reaching" out to mainstream sports viewers that by watching college hoops you can see tomorrow's NBA players.

Not that I disagree with this approach... but it's a "tell-tale" sign of trying to attract more viewers. Players like Ewing, Laetner, and Kenny Walker, don't remain with x university for 3 or 4 years anymore. Thus, they hype the young, talented guys to probably get more interested in college basketball.

My point.... It's why I'm glad we have Coach Cal who seems to be about 2 moves ahead of other college programs with keeping UK a "cool" or highly touted b-ball program in this new era of hoops with all the young guys leaving early.

Not only have other blue-blood programs followed his lead, but even the so called "World Wide Leader in Sports" has.

Even Ole Vitale is talking Green Room now that idol K is a OAD man.

At least we don't have to hear about how 1 and done is ruining the game this year since the chosen one got on the bandwagon.
