Heard this coming home from the grocery this morning. No idea if true.

Dabo has a much easier road to playoff with Clemson and the ACC, imo. Now, does Clemson continue to recruit well in the age of NIL (and the huge difference between conference money compared to SEC) and with a significant reluctance to go heavily into the portal?

But, he'd surely be expected to contend for championships very quickly if he makes the move while he still enjoys a great deal of goodwill at Clemson.

Again, no idea if this report was accurate but heard it on ESPN radio this morning.

I think Dabo waits for Saban to hang it up and goes home to Alabama! Then again Saban might coach another ten years. A/M has an endless supply of NIL money, that has to be attractive to any coach.

The problem for Dabo is we all see the writing on the wall for ACC. If you're not in SEC or Big10....you're going to be on the outside looking in. Kids are coming to play in SEC and Big10, all the TV Money is in those 2 conference and so will all the NIL be as well.

Today Clemson's path thru ACC is legit but that ain't going to last. The narrative of be only dog in a lesser conference and get to playoffs and hope to win isn't going to hold Dabo would be smart to go to Texas AM and get out of ACC IMO.

A&M's coaching search might end up going how ours went post-Tubby when we floated names and got turned down by people who we offered the job to and also never talked to.

A home run for them would be Urban Meyer but it's doubtful he'd go there because of the SEC grind again. I'm not really sure who they think that they can get at this point because Dabo isn't taking this job either.
