Tough road game and they are solid …it’s definitely a game we could drop but if we can shoot reasonably well and pressure defensively, win the battle of the boards, we win at Clemson
I want to see Pope take some risks to win games. Keep our opponents on their feet.
The strategy should at least be better than calipari taking the ultimate risk which is not taking many risks at all.

Clemson has a decent team this year but I'll be there with the family cheering on the Cats!
What are you talking about. It’s Kentuckys first road game against a legit power school. Kentucky has also only played 1 team.
Why is this a bad metric? We have no idea how good Kentucky is yet. It’s their first road game. They could absolutely lose this game and Gonzaga next week. Hopefully we can at least go 1-1
I think their metrics are wrong, same as kenpom. But I actually love the fact that they have UK losing this game. Not that I thought this particular UK team, with all its experience, would take Clemson lightly in our first true road game, but with ESPN saying we're gonna lose, there is ZERO chance we take Clemson lightly.
When did I say it was a bad metric, I said ESPN is staffed with idiots, and I refuse to watch ESPN unless UK is actually on ESPN. Personally a lot of teams are going to lose some games away from home this year. I don't see any teams that have established themselves head and shoulders above the pack right now. UK is in the mix and as long as they stay in the mix I am happy. This team is versatile, fun to watch and Pope actually knows how to coach, a breath of fresh air from the past 7 years of roll the ball out and have the coach only yell go and make a play.
Why do you really care what ESPN is saying.? The outcome of the game is determined by play on the floor instead of reporters who love gaslighting UK fans.

I’m excited about this team, and the style we play, and of course I absolutely love CMP.
But none of that means we will go undefeated
I think we can be subpar feom three and still win by 10 if we are competitive on the offensive glass.
Our ability to stay together and be collected. grind it out, and play good defense is underrated.
Plus, we are liable to be hot from the outside rather than cold and if so Clemson could be in considerable trouble even at home.
We have Pope coaching this team so I feel much better with him and the staff getting the players ready .
Not shocked to be the 'dog. Clemson normally is tough at home and this is (beating a dead horse) the first real road game.

I was just scrolling down to post this. Mark Pope has shown that he is exceptional at analyzing film and data to create a winning gameplan.
That's what I'm saying. First true road game this year and in a UK uniform but collectively these guys have probably played 300+ road games.
Clemson went to Alabama last year and won by double digits. Gonna be a tough road game for UK. Being the late game makes it even worse for us.

They lost to Boise State at Boise State. Pretty much proving you can lose to lesser teams on their home court.
You always need to bring your B+ game at least to beat good teams on the road. We just cant afford to have our 3rd shooting slump game in a row. If we shoot well I think we definitely can overcome an 8 on 5 situation.
Not only proving you can lose to lesser teams but sometimes those lesser teams actually are the favorites just because they are at home. You are pretty much expected to lose even as the "better" team.
With the SEC containing so many highly ranked teams, there will be a bunch of games that are strictly determined by who is at home. Holding serve at Rupp and then winning a couple of these games will be massive for UK's season.

Thought the 930 during the week is the nationwide Primetime slot. 930 east coast is 630 west coast, meaning more viewers possibly at home to watch the game. 7pm game is during rush hour in 2 time zones.

Prime time during championship week of football you are going to get a early game, or late late game. West coast, 7pm game 10pm east coast. What can you do. I know Saturday, I will take a good nap around 6pm or so. Then watch some football, then watch UK and the Zigs/Zags.
No idea how east coast sports fans stay up and watch a lot of the "late" games- it's another reason I love living in AZ- games are on/over with much earlier
