I dont think I consider hiring “show cause “ bagman Clint Hurt to bring in Teddy Bridgewater as luck but , otherwise I agree with all of this .Louisville Football was build like a house of cards (no pun intended), and like all houses of cards it eventually caves in on itself. Their successful years were a combination of playing outside the lines and being incredibly lucky at recruiting the quarterback position with Bridgewater and then Jackson following him, they seem to have even hit gold again with Cunningham. Think where Card football would be right now without those three?
They managed to scrap out 6 win this year in what is probably the weakest P5 conference this season, but the ACC will get better with Miami, FSU and Clemson moving upwards, what will happen to UofL then? If they start missing the post season they will eventually have to consider moving back down to a lower conference like the Sunbelt. In the meantime they will continue to be dominated annually by Kentucky and may at some point throw up their hands and decide to opt out of the series.
I did not hear it.Still waiting to hear what he said...
I did not hear it.
but he said something about Brohm beating a team that had beaten U.K.
Sounds awful, we should ruin that man’s life.I heard what he said and from my viewpoint I thought he was actually complimenting UK. He simply said that we’ve been knocking on the door of being a legit SEC threat but haven’t gotten over the hump yet. Have to say I agree. He said we should take that next step in 2022 and he hinted that the prize was there for the taking. The OP twisted what was said. Not saying he (Crawford) didn’t insinuate that now was the time for that next step but I agree …. next year we should be competitive with everyone and that’s all Eric Crawford said. Just time to man up.
Hell Yeah ! Let’s whip some “cancel culture “ on his ass , lol.Sounds awful, we should ruin that man’s life.
What did he say?
Preach brother!I believe we are seeing the beginning of the realization of some simple truths, even by hard-core Card fans:
(1) Card fans were accustomed to double-digit winning seasons in their“Mid-Major/G-5” days;
(2) For two decades, they convinced themselves that a transition to P5 would lead to further success, because they could beat a moribund U.K., and an occasional P5 “name” team in a bowl, such as a lifeless UF team in the Sugar Bowl.
(3) With Lamar, they won a Heisman Trophy, and it was a deserved award, as he did all but don Superman’s cape in covering the real weaknesses of their program, and allowing modest success in the beginning of their ACC participation.
(4) With the collapse of the Ramsey/Jurich regime(s), the character’s “who knew where all the bodies were buried,” were exposed, as were all of the buried bodies, in a ten year(+), “drip, drip, drip” water torture that has yet to go dry.
(5) Eight years into their ACC membership, even with a once-in-a-lifetime talent in Lamar Jackson, there has been nary a ten win season.
(6) The moribund football program down the road has awakened, and after 70 years has decided to fully join the SEC, with ten-win seasons now an annual possibility, and historic beat-downs of U of L an annual likelihood.
(7) And no one (outside of a small circle) cries for U of L: two (+) decades of “LPT,” and “slapdick,” talk and tens of millions of dollars of questionable internal waste has immunized U.K. from the creation of even the slightest sympathy for the Cards when Kentucky piles it on.
(8) And all of the above has left the U of L “community” sniping at one-another. Some yearn to return to the days of their illusory power, while some have avoided the Stockholm Syndrome, and see the sins of their past as the cause of their present suffering. And the lack of strength of a “house divided against itself” has been known since biblical times.
Can we pin this somewhere? Lair HOF? I’m gonna reread it a dozen times at least.I believe we are seeing the beginning of the realization of some simple truths, even by hard-core Card fans:

UL fans (1) thought they achieved something they had not - thought they had become a traditional power; (2) were not satisfied and thought they deserved more, leading to overly harsh criticism of a coach they should have appreciated; (3) did not respect the process and the tenuous nature of success for most college football teams; and, (4) now think that it just requires turning a switch.Louisville Football was build like a house of cards (no pun intended), and like all houses of cards it eventually caves in on itself. I wonder what conclusions he thinks he can draw from that?I did not hear it.

We see that with some of our fans, as well.
Why did it make me laugh so hard when I read the guy's response about the "transparent property" 🤣

First. 11 more. Wait till they have to make amends to all they have offended. 😎^The final stage … acceptance.
The perception of them being a good program is eroding as well. They were freaking favored over us this year. Data is piling up and once the perception meets reality its going to be even harder for them to recruit. They were a landing spot for troubled players and the portal makes that less of a thing even if they didn't seem to clean that up a bit. 6-5 records for long enough will have people quit predicting 10 win seasons. It wasn't hard for UL to have good records playing Army, UConn and Temple every week and then get up for a P5 team that never wanted to play UL in a bowl game. Even though the ACC sucks it's still P5 competition and you have to bring it every week. They still haven't figured that out.
